The pool is currently still closed
Nice property from what we were able to see, the 2nd floor main lobby and pool were closed for construction. All the restaurants were closed in the hotel. This was not brought to my attention prior to booking the room although I imagine I guess I should have done some research. The view from the Room was beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. In the end I just had high expectations and being that the property was 90% unavailable I felt I should not have been charged the normal premium rates. The parking alone for two nights is $160 although that is pretty standard in the city.
What guest service should look like! Especially now, in times of pandemic. We stayed at the Fairmont for one night and every staff member we interacted with - Rick(?), The doorman, the check-in staff Ms. Ng and everyone in between were exceedingly courteous and professional. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable beds, and clean.
We had a bit of an emergency, in the middle of the night, and the staff handled it with grace and empathy. I'm a fan of the Fairmont chain now and look forward to staying at more locations world-wide.
Such a lovely place to visit! My boyfriend took me here for brunch. Loved everything about it here. Clean, beautiful, and such a great location.
Teddy is a charming lady who was attentive to our family’s needs during our stay. Eclectic and whimsical decor. The cookies upon arrival were super yummy and a nice touch. Our children loved the basketball court, board games, and built in hide away beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for hiking and the modern conveniences of Seward.
