The best hotel I've been to so far. Fantastic breakfast buffet, spacious and clean rooms with many amenities, and a panoramic view of São Paulo from the room balcony. Most of the staff members spoke both English and Portuguese, which eased me. They even let me play their two or three hundred year old piano in the restaurant for a bit. The only unfortunate thing is that the location is a bit too far to walk to from the main Paulista Avenue. Nevertheless, I will be staying here again when I can fly back to visit.
Mama Brasil hostel is one of the nicest, friendliest and most-enjoyable places I stayed during my 9-month and 48-hostel tour of South America.
The staff a lovely and friendly, and guests always seemed to be polite, and the facilities are comfy and welcoming; their back garden is a little slice of paradise in the hustle and bustle of São Paulo!
The owners Mira and Bruno are a lovely, fun young couple, and they've really made the place a nice place to stay.
Full disclaimer - I liked the place so much, I actually stopped and lived here for a few months during my travels.
I will definitely stay here again when I return to the country.

Do yourself a favour and choose Imagina Hostel! Not only it's fantastically located - make sure to be there on Sunday and visit Avenida Paulista -, but the owners are absolutely lovely, and they'll make your stay extra special! Obrigado gente!
Very nice hostel. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The people are very helpful and the location is great, it's very close to Avenida Paulista!
I felt in a bohemian place which made me feel different
The location is great, next to the subway, to Paulista Avenue, in front of a shopping center and other nice places to meet
