Reviews from visitors:
It’s such a lovely hostel!! The food is amazing, especially Lucie the owner’s home made bread. Lucie also helped me book my Ciudad Perdida’s trip, always arrange the taxi or call the laundry lady for me. The pool is great. It’s also very close to the beach (5 min walk). I stayed 6 nights there, If I come back to Santa Marta I’ll definitely stay at this place again. If you can, please book directly in the website because this is a small business and booking platforms charge a significant amount of fees of the hostel.
Walking distance to markets and beach. Nice pool to swim & cool off from heat. Fans in room, AC is available. Lounge w/ pool table and small kitchen, fridge with 2 small burners and basic kitchen equipment to make basic meals. Restaurant food is terrible: whole fish covered in onions was flavorless, sandwich bread was really dry.
Not clean! And quite expensive.
The owner was a polite but very confused French lady who told me that she is fully booked when I arrived (having had a reservation). But then suddenly she had a room - and quietly down-graded me to a never-cleaned room!!
The bathroom was a shame, the light in the bathroom was broken, the toilet was not cleaned, the sheets on the bed had stains, their were no bath towels (and when I asked I only received one instead of two towels for the private room plus something for the bathroom floor),...
The food was good. The Canadian waiter Francis was a lot of fun too. The owner was very annoying and kept on starting conversations with me at unpleasant times and without asking if I am now available for talking.
Actualy the best in Taganga. Super nice French-colombian cuisine, best in town. Super friendly people a pool and good cocktails. What else do you need?
Lucie is a real gem - very helpful and eager to make sure you enjoy your stay. The food was tasty and the atmosphere is relaxed. Nice rooftop bar as well. I enjoyed my time here!
