Santa Marta is small city. Down town built by 4-5 blocks.
Out side of the old town you can find chain hotels as big buildings.
But if you are looking for something special to stay is Cada de Leda.
It is Very nice and unique hotel building.
Terrace is very nice to sit back and relax.
Location is few steps to down town.
If you want to go to Taganga beach takes 20 minutes by car, if you want to go to Rodadero beach takes 20 minutes as well.

Casa de Leda location was ideal for me. A walking distance to several excellent restaurants, outdoor entertainment at Parque de Los Novios. The Marina for sailboat tours and Expotur for the four day backpacking Lost City trek is nearby. Casa de Leda top floor offers an excellent view of the cathedral and beautiful weather in January.

It was a few years ago but i had the best hotel experience ever. I have stayed in many hotels that are pretty like casa de leda but i have never ever met such friendly staff that i felt genuinly did everything someone could ever request..and..SO MUCH MORE!! So this will be the first hotel that i give a 5 star rating. If there was a plus i would add every bit of it. Thanks for the best stay of my life!

The staff of this hotel were the best we could ever hope for. Rosa at breakfast was particularly attentive and with great conversation. Lina's arepas were delicious, with the assistance of Dana and Carla. Breakfast overall great.
The cocktails that yobani made went down perfectly poolside.
Location and all amenities also very good, with ever attentive staff being the highlight. Would recommend.
