Reviews from visitors:
Loved the hotel, the views, the people. But just know you'll have to walk up tons of stairs to get up and down and deal with a few bugs and luke warm water
Easy five star accommodation close to Santa Marta.
The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are creative with a great view of the bay. Some rooms even have their own private jacuzzis. The main pool is large and clean as well.
Unfortunately, the area is not safe and made clear by dozens of armed guards walking around the pathways and beach, especially in the evening.
The hotel itself has its own security and I don’t imagine there’s ever been a problem. Felt completely safe within the resort. Frankly, I felt safe outside the resort as well - we were warned several times by the patrolling officers to take care.
Great location, slow paced vibe with laid back atmosphere. Quiet and the view is perfect. You have to take a boat to get here, so it’s a bit of an adventure. You can also hike, but the locals said maybe its safer to take the boat. The hike would be very tough if you travel with suitcase, but its doable if you have a backpack. About a 15/20 minute hike from Santa Marta to Jaba Nibue. The beach is nice in the morning, and the staff are so helpful and always have a smile on their face. Very Friendly. The ONLY downside to this place would be the boats stop making trips around 5pm. So if you plan on staying out late, you must hike back to Jaba Nibue, which can be somewhat trivial because its dangerous, no lighting, and also its safer to take the boat. During the day, the hike is fun!
Spectacular.
The views are amazing.
The rooms are very comfortable if a bit small.
The staff is very friendly and amenable. It is a very safe and secure area. Very well maintained.
It is a bit remote and not easily accessible for your taxi driver, but I find this to be a positive.
Also reasonably priced.
The food is not 5 stars but very enjoyable and food variety.
I highly recommend it if you have the good fortune of visiting this lovely Carribean paradise.
Just being your walking shoes as this is truly a mountain side resort.
The views, the privacy, the scenery during the day and at night, so close to nature but still get electricity and also the essentials. Limited restaurant service after 8 but if you're interested in relaxing and quiet time and space this is a must try!!! Don't venture out of the hotel after dark, animals and humans can be dangerous...
