Hotel staff at the front desk do not know the first thing about customer service. There are flickering lights all around the hotel although it is supposed to be “new”, therefore not apt for people with migraines or epileptics.
There is no elevator. No air conditioning in the hall ways and after second floor it’s extremely hot. Electricity went out on our first day and there was no back up energy plant so no air conditioning in the room/ barely able to breath in there. Also there is no mirror in the actual rooms, only in the bathroom.
Delux rooms HAVE NO WINDOWS!!! In general not a great experience and would not stay here in the future. Customer service was always a disaster. To end things in a bad note, during checkout they made the invoice to my little brother without even asking lol.
Kitchen and cleaning staff are nice and offering a good customer service. The only thing good about this hotel pretty much.
Hotel is in a dodgy area. Was held up at knife-point only a block away. Wouldn't stay here if you're a family or solo traveler. They could be better about security leading up to the hotel knowing the area it is in. Heads up that "deluxe" rooms are windowless. Would have been nice to know that before booking.
Excellent value. Nice, new, fresh, very clean hotel. Close to center, close to sea. Kind service. Big room with decent bathroom... perfect when returning from Ciudad perdida trek :-) Do ask for a room with window or you will be stuck in a smaller windowless option!
Very good hotel
Lovely hotel in Santa Marta. Good aircon, comfortable beds, good showers and everything is spotless. Very friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. Great value for money.
