First of all, let me start by saying that I have waited my entire life to visit the northern west coast of Sicily where my blood runs from. We stayed at a very cool Hotel here in San Vito Lo Capo called the Artemide Hotel. When the woman working the front Desk named Christina recommended that we try the Zingaro restaurant, we decided that this would be the spot for dinner. Zingaro was just around the corner and beautifully set and decorated. We were met by quite possibly the best waiter I have ever had the pleasure of meeting named Antonino. Nino promised us a perfect dinner and let me tell you that he did not disappoint! We tried many different dishes from the pasta and melanzanne to the cheese dish and the phenomenal caponta , I had some vino from the region which complimented the food perfectly! Every time Nino would suggest a dish , he was spot on , the tuna was the incredible and the rolled sardines were to die for! I almost forgot the panelle he brought out to start with! Then for dessert I had the lemon sort of tart that was Lemon Heaven! If you are in San Vito , please try this restaurant and ask for Antonino! He will guide you towards a true Sicilian dinner that you would never forget!
Excellent food. The chef is very creative and combine flavors in delicious ways. Dish presentation is perfect. Highly recommend
