Reviews from visitors:
We loved our stay last week. First off, I have never seen such clean carpets. I always bring slippers when I travel because I'm afraid of putting my feet down especially in hotels. The room we stayed (44) is quaint and absolutely perfect. The location is central and it's in the Mission so there's lots of restaurants to choose from. It's far from the main attractions (museums, fisherman's wharf, etc) about ~25 minutes or so by car , but there's lots to see in the district by walking. What we really enjoyed is the service, top notch! Liza and the rest of the staff are very attentive and hospitable ❤️. We would absolutely come back.
BTW, I was dreading the brown-bag breakfast since there is no buffet and we are in a pandemic. However, we got warm, fresh food served on a tray ☺️.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! It's well kept and has such character and charm! This was our first time staying here and I know it definitely won't be our last.
I have stayed at the Inn San Francisco a few times in the past and absolutely loved it. So when I had to stay over night for an early morning appointment at San Francisco General Hospital, I did not hesitate to book a room there. The location is wonderful. It is a beautiful 20 minute walk from the Inn to the hospital, and the 24th and Mission BART stop is close by as well. An abundance of restaurants are within walking distance as well; including Mexican, Peruvian, Thai and even vegan Japanese. The Inn has always been clean and well taken care of. The rooftop terrace provides a 360 degree view of San Francisco. But it is the staff and their top quality service that is perhaps the highlight. During COVID, they could not provide the normal breakfast buffet in the living room area. So they allow you to order your continental breakfast items the night before. Liza called me the day before I checked in and stated that breakfast was from 8am-11am. She offered to have breakfast items ready for me at check-in if I would be leaving the Inn sooner than 8am my day of check out. I could have easily stayed at a chain hotel for a little less money (plus rewards points), but I really wanted to support a local, small business in these very trying times. I hope they are able to pull through, because the Inn San Francisco is a very special place with a huge amount of character.
Great experience in an old San Francisco house. It has the feel of an 19th century home with a lot of character and is located in a very central part of the city. Not far from the mission
Close to Mission, food & 24th Mission BART nearby.
Got room #24, with giant soaking tub (fits 2). Two beds, one on a top bunk.
Decorations are old and grand, but the photos from other reviews will do a better job of conveying. Lots of fragile items!
During the pandemic, provided a tray of requested continental breakfast (included). Pastries, cereal, fruit, coffee, etc.
