The day I was supposed to check-in at the Hotel Del Arts in SF to see Warriors v Lakers, where I live in Denver had the 4th worst snowstorm/blizzard in the city’s history. Denver International Airport canceled over 1,000 flights for the day. I couldn’t leave if I wanted to. I promptly emailed the hotel, informed them I have no choice but to cancel. I asked for either a partial refund or a credit to use at a future stay. Never heard back. A ‘no’ response would have received at least 3 stars in my book. But simply ghosting after taking my money = 1 star.
No staff onsite, have to use electronic keys on an app that is unreliable. No AC in the building at all, sleeping on the third floor was very hot. Guest windows face each other in a circle- with no staff onsite, another room was able to blast music with their windows open until 3 AM every night and there’s nothing you can do about it. Also rooms are incredibly small- could barely open both suitcases at one time. Convenient location is the only positive.
The room was freezing cold and the heater in the room had no controls. Could not call the hotel and speak with anyone. Sent many messages through Airbandb and was ignored since we checked in. Also the code to enter the building plus the code to enter the room was way too complicated. We had to use an app on our phone plus at the same time read a text message on our phone and input an 8-digit code on the door just to get it to open.
Very nicely located and reasonably priced but most importantly with the most kind staff you can think of. I recommend it to everyone!
Fun and interesting hotel to stay in. Great location and reasonable price. Customer service was lacking though. Called about 10 times trying to get ahold of them and they never answered. Was finally able to get ahold of them through messaging. Disappointing, but I still enjoyed my stay.
