Far beyond my expectations! The whole building is spectacularly charming! The hotel is made with thousands of surprising decorations and thoughtful objects. Louis from the reception is very helpful. Five stars are not enough to express my gratitude.
We were moved to the White Swan Inn without a clear explanation; there is a $100 deposit never mentioned during reservation or in the payment details. The room was cold and heating was not working: fireplace is not enough to hit the room. The room was never cleaned, garbage was not taken, bed was never made, towels never replaced. On the last day, the ceiling started leaking. When we tried to mention our concerns to the person in the front desk, he showed no interest in hearing them. Overall, a disappointing stay. The place is interestingly decorated, but does not seem to be well kept. Breakfast and location are good.
By far the highlight of the trip was the service we received at the pool by Gideon. We went both Saturday and Sunday and were served by him both days. His service was impeccable. He was attentive and thoughtful and really made the pool experience great. The chairs were comfortable, the food was good and the atmosphere was great.
Best hotel experience I've ever had! The Staff simply made it a 4 star experience. Next time I'm in SF I'll be staying here!
Over the top. From check in to walking out. 100% lived the place. Only thing I would change is tbe main entry door. The open.close function needs an upgrade but also it adds to the character. My new favorite hotel in SF.
