Reviews from visitors:
This is a quaint place on just off the beach. Rooms are clean and staff friendly. However they don't offer a ice machine or have any coffee in room or on the premises. Check in is at 4pm not alot of bang for the money.
Simply amazing..the owner is the nicest person you might ever meet. Beautiful rooms with so much character. Highly recommend
My wife and I stayed a night here for our 18th Wedding Anniversary. (She found it!) It's an art inspired inn. It's small and just a bit back from Camino Del Mar. Nice art inspired decor to look at. I'm told each room is decorated differently. We were in the Diego room. Upon entering you're met with a Spanish-style fireplace with stucco type seating connected. There's a fridge, microwave, sink, sitting area and small closet. The bathroom is small bit nice. More art in there also. This a small room, approximately 15 ft x 20 with a small balcony with an ocean view. Lots of very artsy details all over the room including Spanish art with a Diego Rivera poster from the Norton Simon Museum. There are art details all over the place. Specially designed inlaid tile work. Details everywhere. A great place to stay!!
My husband and I stayed here two nights to celebrate our anniversary. After reading the excellent reviews, I was surprised to see how poorly this place is run. It is a cute place and could be great, but the managers seem to have stopped caring. When we first arrived, there was a piece of trash on the floor by the refrigerator. The bed sheets were stained, and there was a hair on them. The bathroom sink area was not clean. The toilet paper holder was loose and about to fall off the wall. The soap dispenser was dirty and empty. The shower curtain was rusty and mildewy. The leaking toilet woke me up every 30 minutes both nights. The bed is a full, not a queen as advertised. There was a broken blind that made the room feel less than private. A small, broken glass candle holder is one of the very few decorations. We were scolded when we lit a small fire in the fireplace. (There is nothing posted saying not to.) There was no housekeeping. When we came back to the room after being gone all day, the room had not been refreshed. No clean towels, full trash can, very little toilet paper left. When my husband asked for more toilet paper, we were given an old dusty roll with a dead spider on it. The managers were just not friendly or welcoming hosts, and the place needs some TLC. This could be a nice place, but the way it's managed does not do it justice.
Property needs renovation.Went to the front desk. No service , so I rung the bell. Older lady comes out very rude. I think just one lady runs the whole property . I would NOT recommend . I just rebooked at the blue indigo. They were very HOSPITABLE AND WELCOMING .
