Reviews from visitors:
We stayed there for one night during our trip and overall, we were satisfied. Room was a little small and it smelled like marijuana , which I think was from our neighbor. But I loved the shampoo and conditioner in the room! It was the first time my curly hair was happy with something in a hotel.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary.
The steam shower was amazing!! That was the best part of the room, not the bed like some of y'all enthusiastically expressed in other reviews...but, they were very efficient in bringing ice and bottled water to the room after I text a request. Also, they did fulfill one of my special request to have rose petals in the room for our anniversary. It was quite lovely and presented as a heart on the bed.
The King deluxe room was smaller than I anticipated for the price. The bed was nowhere near as comfortable as many reviews led me to believe it would be, but that's not y'all's fault. The bathroom sliding door got stuck and my girlfriend got stuck in the bathroom as a result. Adding insult to injury, I actually got injured trying to pry the door open to free her. The lack of parking would not be a terrible thing of there was some transparency regarding the price for the suggested city parking structure across the street. There were no towels at the pool. I also could not get the wifi to work.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But my room wasn't nothing like the pictures online. I was very disappointed animals are allowed that's fine but my room floor had huge scratches on it and the bathroom was very clean. Unfortunately my experience there wasn't the best. There is no parking either pay 30 dollars a day across the street or try finding parking on the street
What an amazing hotel. Kimptons are generally great, but the people make this hotel awesome. George, the front desk manager, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and extremely special - even in the middle of a pandemic! If you're in San Diego, don't look any further - this is the place to stay. Thanks George and Palomar!
Very nice hotel. Friendly people. Rooms are very nice. I can't speak of prices. My brother and father are staying here, not I.
