Loved the hotel, the style/decoration is very original. I had an issue with my reservation due to a slow processing payment from a hotel booking website, but it got resolved. I want to say special Thanks to Sarah for helping me and managing the situation :), she made me feel calm and safe, she found the solution and she was very attentive all the time.
I definitely recommend this place to stay.
I love the classic, upscale tradition of this hotel.
Even though many areas were closed due to covid, it was still a great experience. The room was clean, elegant, and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful.
We had afternoon tea upon checking in, which was both delicious and fun. It came with an assortment of finger sandwiches, desserts, and a bottle of champagne. Later, we enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and the hot tub, with drinks in-hand of course.
I hope this place never changes.
The fish and seafood dishes are exclusive and tasty. There is also a wide variety of drinks. It's a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner. The food was delicious, and the cake was the perfect way to cap off a fun night. My highest recommendation for this restaurant!
You would never expect this modern building to house a beautiful hotel with old world charm. Entering The Westgate Hotel is stepping into Vienna, chandeliers lighting statues and tapestries, a grand piano and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The rooms are large and offer splendid views of San Diego. Comfort is the aim, from king size bed, two cozy armchairs, the long vanity, deep closet with robes hanging ready. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
Overall good service and nice hotel feel with vintage look. Courteous staff. Brassy theme can be seen everywhere in the elevator, hallways, rooms and bathroom fixtures. Clean rooms and bathrooms. There is an outdoor restaurant area called as Veranda with live music.
Room has lot of stains on the carpet that I noticed in the morning. No smell or anything. Bed was clean and fresh. There is a coffee machine, fridge, safe in the room under the TV table. There’s a microwave in the lobby area. Parking is paid.
