The US Grant is by far the nicest hotel in San Diego. Beds & linens were the highlight — woke up each day of the trip feeling well rested and ready to enjoy all that San Diego had to offer.
Customer service was beyond all expectations. Lee Ann the concierge was so helpful with everything (recommendations for dining, etc.) and Dianna was kind enough to provide us with free upgrades for our rooms to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Valet and welcome staff were also superb — they are beyond dedicated to assisting you, so be nice to them!
Do not let the reviews about the water pressure deter you — you will LOVE your stay regardless.
The Grant Hotel is a mix between timeless design and modern aesthetics. The Deluxe King suite was beautiful. The staff were top notch, accommodating every need in a timely manner to include extra robes, ice buckets, and champagne glasses. All staff members were friendly and polite. The rooms were quiet, and a feeling of "quality" made the room more luxurious than it already was. The marble shower was beautiful, the bed was soft, the pillows were fantastic. Around every turn of the hotel were gorgeous foyers and chandeliers. The view from the room could be better, but the Grant Hotel is located in a now somewhat "rough" area of downtown due to the rising homeless population. A Ross Dress for Less and an abandoned hotel were in clear sight from the windows, but with the shears, the location is unnoticeable, and part of the hotel is its history, and I never felt unsafe during my stay. Thank you for the incredible stay!
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful historic buliding. Absolute pleasure to stay here. Great service from the moment we pulled up to check in. We stayed here with both of our small children and the staff made them feel welcome even while they were running in the hallways. The easiest in and out of a hotel I have ever stayed in. Cannot wait to stay here again.
Yeah right . I was at burger king getting a sausage biscuit. I make clothes for female adult entertainers. Haven't been able to go into a club to work in a wile. I was not at this hotel. I'm sure it's lovely though.
Beautifully decorated clean room. Delicious gourmet Ritz Carlton style selections for room service. Warm, cheery, friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even during COVID restrictions.
