Reviews from visitors:
Quiet ~ Calm ~ Perfectly Appointed 27 Room Hotel ~ (Once you find it)
Is probably one of the prettiest settings for a Marriott property!
Wonderful continental breakfast with probably the best croissants I've ever had... breakfast doesn't start until eight 8 a.m. and not a minute before.
If you want coffee or tea in your room grab it at the Todo prior to your arrival.
Love that you had the option of watching TV in English or Spanish.
Bar is a great place to meet other guests.
You will probably be met by Nicholas.... He is Wonderful!!!!!
& very helpful in pointing you in the right direction to start your tourist activities.
The team at this hotel really make it great! Their warm welcome - enthusiastic service and cordiality make this hotel special.
Daniella, Nicholas, Christian - all the wait staff in the restaurant and the fabulous Chef - make it a great time!
The Saturday night Asado event with the cocktail demonstration was fantastic! Make sure you do this!
You need to rent a car if you stay here because it is outside of town and away from the tourist areas. It is the lodge of a golf and tennis club. The neighborhood has beautiful vacation homes and a polo club.
The positives:
Beautiful views (only on the even numbered rooms)
Great team
Comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchenettes in the rooms. We had a cook top, fridge and microwave, and a sink. Plus a kettle and coffee maker.
Pleasant decor
Complimentary clothes washer (you hang the clothes to dry)
Great bar and nice ambiance in the public spaces
Lots of storage space for your stuff
The Negatives:
Breakfast starts at 8am. No coffee available before then. We bought coffee grounds at a local store and made our coffee each morning, and instant oatmeal, eggs for boiling, and bread. We were always up and
gone on our daily excursions before 8am. They should at least have a coffee station available by 6am.
Basic maintenance issues:
The door to the pool area was peeling, warped and scraping the patio. Hard to open.
The pool is vinyl and has some seams where algae is growing - not appealing to swim.
The propane fire pit was not useable - which was sad. It was all rusty.
It’s time to paint the baseboards
If the maintenance had been up to date - and we could actually swim in the pool and enjoy the fire pit in the evening, I would rate this property as a 5.
Very nice hotel, very bad for family and kids. The front was taking complains about kids voices but lot of old drunk people and nobody was sayung anything about that. I would never come back
I stayed free on Marriott Bonvoy points. Very friendly and helpful staff, but the location is challenging to find and to navigate into and out of. Make sure to use Waze and not Google Maps. I would stay on the lake. Very nice breakfast is included. The room was clean and had a great very. However, the rooms are like echo chambers and you can hear everything. Hotel isn’t bad, but the location is suboptimal.
My mom and I spent 7 nights at Arelauquen Lodge and had a wonderful stay. Amazing views, excellent service, great cocktails and food. The staff is extremely helpful— they really go above and beyond. The menu is somewhat limited but delicious. We were also there for their New Years dinner, the food and wine was exceptional. If you plan on staying there I would highly recommend having a car. Overall great experience, would stay there again.
