Nice hotel, everything new and stylish.
But the service... service is not for 5 star hotel. Receptionist are not very welcoming, sometimes quite sad, but may be its has to do with general lazy mood in Salvador, and they just wanna escape home
This is by far the best hotel in Salvador, although very expensive. The service is impeccable and so is the food. Either in the pool (which deserves a review of its own) or in the ground floor the bar is held to a high standard with a variety of drinks and if there's nothing you please, having a chat with the barman will solve that problem. Spa and gym (small but functional) are also held to high standards. The rooms are very comfortable, with all the amenities expected. The only complaint I have is the laundry service, which did not match the standards set by the other parts of the hotel. Overall the the experience was great.
This boutique hotel is absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning on staying in the area of Salvador. Our time here was absolutely lovely. So much so, that I really don’t have a single complaint.
The pousada is located in the historic district of Salvador, where there a lots of nice restaurants and shops for those wanting to get souvenirs from here. It’s also a short walk to the elevator, which takes you down to the big market, which also has souvenirs, restaurants, etc. You can also walk nearby to an overlook where you can see the water and the port, which is beautiful.
As for the hotel itself, it is only 6 rooms, which are all very cozy and nicely decorated. Each room is themed after a God or Goddess from the Candomblé religion. The room was very comfortable and very clean. I loved that the shampoo, conditioner and body soap was supplied for the shower. They also have a lovely breakfast room service!
The final piece to this hotel is the lovely staff! We had such a lovely time and felt so attended to. All of the staff is lovely and super caring. We had lots of lovely conservation with both Alessandro and Sandra, and look forward to returning, simply to see our friends again!
I really can’t say enough good things, and would stay here again when I am able to return to Salvador!
For those who are not familiar with Salvador and the area, my only other recommendation would be to be careful in some of the plazas/streets, particularly at night. Many will approach you asking for money, however it is best to continue on as well as to carry minimal items with you. Good travel advice in general if you’re looking like a tourist!
Location is fantastic, in the middle of Pelourinho! Amazing staff, breakfast in the morning is freshly made and the price is excellent. Definitely recommend!

We found this hostel to be more than adequate for a short stay in Salvador. The rooms were clean and all of the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. The price is also very reasonable. The location is ideal for getting to the Mercado de Artesanato and for shopping and eating along the way. I would definitely consider using this hostel if I were to return to Salvador.
Great boutique hotel in Pelourinho - you will feel like a carioca there! The room is large and clean. The owner very nice and full of good advises. Go for it!
It is a very decent place with friendly staff and a very good location at the historical center of Salvador. The environment here is amazing and I also very much like the monastry/church architecture in which this hotel is placed into. However, the furniture is quite old and my AC is constantly doing some weird noises. Also my blankets were smelly and had some unappetizing stains. All in all, still a recommendable hotel
