Fantastic place by its location, architecture and poetry. The photos of its rebuild in the hall is a very humanitarian museum of conservative measures to save old buildings. They pictured the workers doing their contributions. The antique air in the halls and buildings brings a colonial style to life.
This hotel is good! Great location, attractive public rooms, comfortable and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms very nice, attentive service, excellent listener, good breakfasts and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Well done to all concerned!
Street is safe and reception gave me some local tips and also safe advice ..( do be carefull with the cellphone and also do avoid some streets)!
Only default is a sign in front the door because i forgot my room number or on the card.

My family of 7 stayed here in 2007. Service was excellent. The rooms were clean and adequately furnished. I especially remember the public areas being beautiful, open to well-tended gardens that were gorgeous. No English was spoken by any of the staff at that time. We could walk around in the neighborhood, to a bakery, a restaurant, to catch a bus to the city. Breakfast food choices were plentiful in a clean, beautiful, relaxed atmosphere.
An incredible house PETUNIA is in the lighthouse area, close to the beaches, but hidden from the noise of the streets. The place where you want to return, the caring reception of the owners, the care and kindness of the staff and the friendliness of a cat who considers herself a dog and, a dog who considers himself man's best friend. The largest and most comfortable beds and breakfasts(ask for Cuscus de tapioca in coconut’s milk) in Salvador !!! Can’t wait to come back. We left our hearts there!!

Great location and rooms.. but restaurant quality is really poor and price is high plus the 10% service that does not exist.. one person doing everything taking ages to serve. Tip: Stay but go out for food

Great boutique hotel in Pelourinho - you will feel like a carioca there! The room is large and clean. The owner very nice and full of good advises. Go for it!
Really only for a stay over before fly, but a very good one at that. Gives a little of an outside feel which is not common for airport hotels and pool is nice to cool off (mostly for the kids)
Two years ago, my husband and I spent a week in this lovely place. Well located, fully furnished, well-appointed and the magic of this place is Denis Carla. She made every day so special for us, she took care of us as a friend would do. Great stay!
Wonderful place to stay. The staff is courteous. The breakfast is simple but tasty. The site is quiet nighttime and close to beach. There are stores and restaurants nearby.
Sr. Franco, dono do lugar, é maravilhoso demais, nos sentimos em casa pela receptividade e pelo ambiente acolhedor, até toalha pra maquiagem tem (detalhes que aquecem o coração). Os ambientes da casa sao muito bons e espaçosos.
It's a great Pousada, with nice employees and at a good location near the historic center of Salvador. The rooms at the back of the hotel offer a fabulous view of the Bahia.
I stayed in this hotel for three weeks and it was amazing. I loved pretty much everything. The breakfast, the size of the rooms, the people at the front desk, the owner of the pousada, etc. I really felt like home there. If I had the opportunity to go back, I would not think twice to stay there.

But the service... service is not for 5 star hotel. Receptionist are not very welcoming, sometimes quite sad, but may be its has to do with general lazy mood in Salvador, and they just wanna escape home
Good simple yet comfortable rooms, good food and drinks. Only minor issues were - wifi frequently cut out, occasionally slow service and the rooms had no towel rack. The location was terrific though, a great place!
