Just come back from a 5 nights stay. Honestly it's a decent hotel. Pool area excellent, well maintained (fella with a leaf blower out at 7am ) clean and tidy.
Restaurant was adequate. Something there for everyone.
Staff were nice, 2 in particular Felix in the restaurant and the tall bar tender downstairs... (Can't for the life of me remember his name) he was very friendly and funny.
Location excellent. Walking distance for shops and some bars. Also easy to get on a bus to Tarragona or Reus.
I would say this hotel was worth a visit if you're after a budget cheerful holiday!
I would agree with a couple of comments about the dirty plates cutlery (picked up on a few occasions) it's a very small thing though.
Photos look better than it is, the overall appearance is shabby and run down, needs an investment to renew it all. Also check in is too small. Breakfast is boring and not well run for the number of people there and gets very messy, rooms are boring, nothing special. I guess the pool could be heated but is otherwisr good and decent childrens pool area
Location of hotel is very good. There is also good pool for children below 6yrs old and no pool for adult. Thats all the rest is so so. If you are looking for quite place - it's not. The music will not give your children chance for a sleep. The canteen is acceptable, not bad, but crowdy. Dishes are slightly dirty. In my opinion - this place is for short stay only (couple of nights). But you may say- the service corresponds the price, may be, but then i suggest to pay slightly more.
The best food a selection we've had in the thirteen years we've being going to la Pineda, being renovated at the moment well worth a visit.
Very rude to english speaking guests. Our children werent included in the kids club or entertainment because they didnt speak Spanish. Beautiful hotel just not very friendly.
