Reviews from visitors:
We stayed 4 nights for a break in a 5 city tour of Italy. Friendly staff, good facilities and a good 4 star hotel. The only downside would be its location. You would struggle without transport. We had a hire car so not an issue. Breakfast is defiantly a must. They will almost do anything you ask for. You probably would struggle with a young family to keep them amused all day but facilities are all there for short breaks. Excellent value. Request a sea view, amazing sunset views.
Close to the tangenziale so convenient as a place to stop and not far by car from the centre of Salerno. Clean and well appointed. Good soundproofing in carpeted rooms. Receptionist very helpful. Underground parking a real bonus for security reasons and cover from the heat. Breakfast 14 euro/head.
Breakfast was 10 euros per adult. Kids eat free. If you don't prepay for breakfast when checking in then it's 15 euros. Comfortable rooms, but far from the city. Sketchy neighborhood - looks like ready for demolition... but safe. Walked to the train station. The nearby kiosk ran out of tickets, but you can buy tickets on the train.
Worst hotel experience! I travel A LOT around the world and this is by far the worst
The airconditioner is non existent. Even staying in November the rooms are humid and hot and the aircons don't work.
The breakfast is not worth your money. Only sugar options and mushy eggs. You can't order any eggs expect an omlette at an additional price. The staff at breakfast were rude and grumpy.
The reception staff were nice except there's no managers around on the weekend to deal with problems. The night man was next level rude. We went down to reception at 2.30am because the room was so hot and he said the aircon was on which is wasn't and he was just on his phone texting when we were trying to talk to him. The only reason we stayed was because he finally found us a fan.
Maintenance came around the next day to have a look and he just said they just don't blow very much. It came on but for only a couple hours. I feel for the staff working there as the quality of the product they are working for is majorly lacking and it's not their fault.
There's so much more I could say but the above is clear reason not to stay. Just very unhappy with this hotel. We wanted to leave but no managers around to authorise a refund.
Beds were comfortable, but overall, just ok. We ate at the restaurant, and the food was good, but I can't honestly say that it was served with a smile. The hotel is on the outskirts of town. We had our car, so we drove into Salerno, which like the other Italian towns we have driven into, was a chaotic experience! However, there are some good cafes and restaurants on the seafront, we visited - the church with the underground cript (can't remember the name, but it's the one everyone recommends and it was beautiful inside and out), was worth the visit. If I return, I might be tempted to find somewhere else to stay, as we didn't find the hotel that welcoming, but perhaps there were some cultural differences that got lost in translation. I've added 3 photos of Salerno, but don't have any of the hotel.
