This is one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long, long time. The hotel and staff are top notch. Not to mention the cute 50's theme! The day before check in we got a phone call asking about our needs. They said they noticed that we had a child, and were wondering if we wanted a pack and play...I have never had a hotel call me to ask my needs the day before check in. My husband, 1-1/2 year old, and I have one of the balcony kitchenettes. When our toddler goes to sleep, we come out here to either suntan or have a beer/cocktail. The hotel also has a great play area for young kids. It is very kid friendly, yet not kid overrun (Disney anyone?). The pool is great, the views are great (sunsets), the room is great, and so are the staff. I highly recommend coming here.

The staff couldn't have been better! Blanca, in housekeeping does a great job. Shane at the front desk was great also. They truly made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Already planning on going back next year.
We loved this place! There were so many unique offerings here. Everything was updated clean and tidy and green. The staff was phenomenal accommodating and they made everything easy with text communication. There were so many fun things to do: a pool, mini golf, bar, beach volleyball, corn hole, shuffle board, ping pong, and more. Also they had free happy hour with wings and beer as well as coffee in morning. Would absolutely recommend.
Great family vacation here at Plaza Beach Hotel!! Nice and simple room with a full size fridge. Lots of games to play on the property. Loved the cotton candy mashine in the lobby and of course the happy hour wine and beer for us everyday. The staff here is awesome! Definitely a place we want to come back to.
We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Plaza Beach Resort with my wife and stepson. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of cities and I must say that no one hits the hospitality mark nearly as well as the amazing staff at Plaza Beach. From the first day Sheldon and the entire staff knew our name and "welcomed us home" every time I saw them. They were attentive to our needs, constantly wanted to make sure everything was well with our stay and offered recommendations every time we asked. It truly feels like you are at home and the retro Route 66 feel definitely wasn't lost. From the pool to the beachfront, Chris's Beachside bar and even enjoying the numerous activities around the property there is more than enough to keep you smiling from the minute you park. Our ten year old wants to make Plaza Beach a yearly family tradition and I couldn't agree more. Looking forward to many more stays with my extended St. Pete family!!
