Update: The consistency of the staff and requirement of using or entering is not always the same. Our last visit they tried forcing us to buy food just to play ping pong. Old: We only go there for ping pong and the score is based on the experience around that. Nothing else. The first time we went there we were not allowed in because of dress code of some sort. Second time we had to buy a mask despite being in isolated and alone area. And third time the receptionist scanned our fashion sense again. All of this was a bit uncomfortable and shallow experience. We plan on returning in hope of getting a better experience and thus i will update the review accordingly. That said. I should point out under working place in another mama workplace, and mama shelter in Paris at hotel and the restaurant has been good enough experience. So, in thar context i would have rated it 4 at least. But this review is more about attitude, judgement and shallowness that i hope to see improve.
View was amazing, though we were seated away from it. Food was not that good, and quite expensive for the quality. The glass of wine tasted like it had been open for many days.
I stayed here for work over a couple of days. The room was clean, noon check out, good bar and restaurant. Over all, definitely one the better experiences I've had in a hotel. Most of the hotel staff spoke excellent English (in case your nervous about your French). I would go back.
The location is amazing you can basically get around town just by walking. The rooftop breakfast was also great, where you get to have an amazing view of Bordeaux. The only down side is that the room is a little small.
Quirky place to stay. Great location, would definitely recommend. Great bar both on the ground floor and on the roof. Only issue was with the bed linen but it was replaced immediately.
