We were to stay there in December, but we contacted them in October to change the date because of CORONAVIRUS, the hotel refused our proposal for a free date change and asked us for an additional 700 € for new ones. dates, proposal that we refused.
The month of December has arrived, confinement too, and no news from the hotel, we are still awaiting the refund.
They are more reactive to collect than to reimburse!
I advise you to find another hotel in Rome!
Our stay was wonderful (at Via del Babuino, 70) had a warm welcoming. Close to everyday shopping and good restaurants, bars, etc. the services everyday is top notch, our guy who handle the room were very friendly and nice. It feels really cozy as if we had our own apartment.
The host cancelled our booking just 3 days before our arrival, with an excuse that they couldn't charge my credit card, even though my card works perfectly fine. They gave me 2 hours to find a solution to the problem.
This is how it went: I've received an e-mail from booking.com with the information that the host cannot charge my credit card, and that I should update my credit card details within 24h. In less than an hour I updated my credit card details and contacted the host with the following message:"Dear Sir of Madam,
I have received an E-Mail from Booking.com, stating that you cannot use my Visa credit card to guarantee my booking. I have entered my card details once more. Please check if it works now. I didn't encounter such issues until now. If it still doesn't work, please inform me, and I will contact VISA directly. I am sure that this amount of money is not a problem. I have used the card for much higher amounts in the past. And, yes. Please do not cancel my booking. We will solve the problem. Best wishes, Marko". Two hours after this message, the host cancelled our booking. I have tried to contact them by phone multiple times - no answer. I have also contacted Booking.com, but they've told me, there is nothing they can do and that they are very sorry. I also wrote the host to inform him that I can provde another credit card. No answer. Therefore, I want to warn you all when considering this place and suggest to find something else.
Everything was great. Couldn't turn TV on though. Our check in was kind of hard at first, but was able to get a hold of the owner/manager. He was really nice. The kid cleaning our room was friendly and wish him all the best.
They show you a beautiful terrace and assign you a totally no service site. It was in a great location and the room was ok., but had to carry suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. No views from the room
