A wonderful family owned hotel. Their mom prepared a delicious breakfast every morning. Everyone was friendly, especially Giuseppe, who gave us the best possible hints regarding what to see in Rome, where to eat, and even where to buy tickets for the Roman forum/Coliseum avoiding the lines. The best hint was about the catacombs below St. Clement's cathedral. The rooms were very clean and sufficiently spacious. We know where to stay next time we are in Rome. This hotel is a find!
We stayed for 3 days prior to our cruise. This family run and owned hotel is a gem within the walls of the old city. They also provide a wonderful breakfast cooked by Mom. You will be provided with detailed tips and instructions for all of your sight seeing needs. You'll feel like you are staying in their home.

My extend family (10 total) stayed four nights at the Hotel Golden in June. We had a wonderful experience there. Marco greeted us as we arrived from our cruise ship port and assisted with the large amount of luggage that we were traveling with. Inside the hotel, the accommodations are modern but still have that old world European feeling that we were looking for. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Six of us stayed in one of the apartment rooms which was very nice. It is a family run business and everyone is involved. Marco and Giuseppe provide personalized concierge service including sight-seeing suggestions, restaurants, and arranging transportation. The breakfast that is provided is all homemade on site by Mama. You also will feel very secure when staying at this property. We highly recommend anyone who wants a family experience while staying in Rome to give Hotel Golden a look.
