Roof garden top
Very romantic! Little and intimate rooftop with beautiful views. The waitress was very kind and adapted the option for my wife who doesn’t eat pork
Did not get there because of COVID
Have stayed there before twice and it was great but staff very unhelpful with this booking
Even though they could not give us the rooms they still kept our money for 2 rooms in full
I know it was a non refundable booking but due to the circumstances I don’t think their attitude was very becoming to them
Be aware of these non refundable bookings because the price difference between that and refundable was not that great
Would have to think very long and hard vefore booking there again
What a shame and shame on you!
The TV did not work. Room is tiny, no bath just a dingy shower, dirt and mold around the shower, grimy hand prints on the bath door and frame and a urine stained toilet seat I'm supposed to sit on. Photos attached. Went from street view to view of roof next door. TV went from 60 inch to 19 inch. All the while the staff is telling us that all the rooms are "superior" rooms and comparable in quality. Staff has been very rude and condescending. They have offered no solution to rectify this situation. Instead they are blaming us stating they let us choose a room
This is true, we got to choose our room sight unseen and assuming the quality would be equal. Customer sevice has been poor. If all goes right you might have great stay but why risk something going wrong and ending up in our predicament. Solve the problem before hand...Stay elsewhere.
I was a little nervous about the mixed reviews but was willing to take a risk since this was our last leg of a 10 day trip. I will say that some of the negative reviews have merit, but a lot of what people complained about comes with staying in an older hotel and should have been somewhat expected. They definitely haven't updated the place recently, and the bathroom wasn't completely spotless, but I definitely wouldn't have called it or the room unclean. We had a large room with a very comfy bed. We were in the back of hotel so we didn't have to deal with street noise, but I could definitely see as being a problem if you did have a window on the fountain side. This is something you should expect if you choose to stay at a hotel this close to a major tourist attraction in Rome. The major pluses for us were the cell phone we were able to take with us and use for navigation, the location in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go, and the breakfast bar/roof (we went in December and always got up to the roof right at 7:30 so we always got a seat where we could see the fountain). The downsides would be that the wi-fi was pretty weak in our room (probably due to being toward the back of the building so you win some, you lose some) and the peddlers outside the hotel were annoying which would be worse during the busy season. Overall, an enjoyable stay if you don't mind more of a rustic charm and being in the midst of the action. Not for you if you expect everything to be immaculate.
