They are reconstructing house next door. Stay here only if you are ready for a noise of jackhammer the whole day. Place looks worn down. One fridge out of order for more than a month.
The most friendly & cozy place in Ipanema with a perfect location!
The pool is so fun is sunny days but beware of the location stuck in between high buildings blocking the sun for the large port of the day
Worth experience in my life
I arrive at 7 am to put my luggage and ask if a room is ready so I can rest a bit "no check in at 2pm".
Ok, I come back at 2pm. The door if the luggage room wasn't locked.
Then I go to the room, no key to your room, one bathroom for 18 people, my bed was DIRTY (weren't the cleaning lady at 7 am taking care of it?) and you have no plugs.
So security 0, cleaning 0, electricity 0, employees 0.
I stayed literally 5minutes before in came back at the reception asking for my money because I was leaving, of course for them that kind of treatment was normal so no...
Cool and bohemian, a great option for those who want an affordable accommodation. As long as you don't expect those little details that a resort has, it's alright. I'd like to highlight the location is undoubtedly the best of this hostel, 400 meters far from Ipanema beach.
P.S. bring a padlock!
