The Villa from Hell. Its an Awful place. The toilet in our bedroom was broken on arrival and the air conditioning did not work. The room was dirty. We had to leave the accommodation the day we arrived. I've never had to do that in any other accommodation I've stayed in and I've been to a lot of different hotels, hostels, air bnbs around the world. The manager is not a trustworthy person. He said that he would refund us two thirds of the money yet it has been 6weeks now and he hasn't refunded us the money. Booking.Com are going to help us get the money back. The manager was very hostile towards us and even screamed at us when we decided to leave. He has no customer service skills. I was very upset leaving this place.
This accommodation is also situated beside favelas. It's in a very dangerous area. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
We had such a great stay here! The views were unreal. We had a perfect view of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Crist right from our balcony. The staff was all so friendly/helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was fresh and delicious. We also had a great tasting lunch and then dinner made by chef Louis at the rooftop restaurant. Yes, the maintenance of the building/rooms could be improved, but the good qualities of The Villa very much outweighed that for us. 10/10 will be returning in the future.

Staff is amazing... Breathtaking view of Rio... Breakfasts are delish ! Very clean... Pricewise it's a great option !
Could use some touch ups. A few spots of mold. This isn't a luxury hotel but the view is nearly impossible to beat. Just watched one of the most amazing moon rises of my life. The staff is helpful and nice. We had a few questions and requests after our first night and all of them were answered / handled quickly.
