We had a wonderful time, in the superior room there is a lot of space and very beautiful light in the morning. It is really nicely decorated, the bathtub is amazing!!! Personnel is very nice, got everything we were asking for. Great Breakfast in the room..thank you! Definitely will return and recommend to friends..
The hotel is amazing with its architecture inside and location to the center. The rooms are really specious with a fireplace. Every detail in this hotel is unique and well preserved. Breakfast could have been better for this class of hotels
Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent location, great breakfast. The real bonus is free afternoon tea 1500 to 1800 and free dinner 1800 to 2100. The dinners were like home cooking with soup and either the hot dish for the evening or a choice of excellent salads.
The coffee at breakfast was great - you order it from the person at the bar so it is a proper hot cappuccino if that's what you order, and it is included in the breakfast, no extra charge. The breakfast room was small but easily fit all guests in. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of town so very accessible if you needed to get something from your room. The reception staff were always very friendly. The room was comfortable, with a convenient mini fridge. Amazing value for money! We paid £65 for 2 nights for 2 people
For a British person, the breakfast wasn't great. They had a lot of fancy seeming salads, and a lot of effort had gone into it, but there just wasn't quite enough choice to cater to everyone. I would rather have had a plainer and more varied selection.
We had the best time here! Very cosy and charming hotel in the old town. Our room was something special and the bathroom was always nice and clean. The breakfast was homely but lovely -The staff very polite and had good recommendations what to see and do in the city. Thank you very much!
A great hotel in Riga worth staying at. Its very clean and incredibly comfy with lots of floor space. Breakfast is included, with a nice range of options. Staff are very friendly and always make an effort. The hotel is on the outside of the old town, so everything is within a 5min walk, but also far enough out to avoid the noise at night. It is also opposite a shopping centre, so easy to buy supplies. At the rates they charge this hotel is a steal!
I allways get good service in Bergs. Combine it with large rooms filled with authenticity in this small, but luxurious hotel located centrally in Riga.
Breakfast is a bit small for longer stays, but is plenty for a long weekend. Cozy. Few rooms
Really enjoyed our stay here. While the amenities aren't 5 star, the service is. Very welcoming and friendly. Went above and beyond to help us feel at home and to give us recommendations on places to go, things to see, where to eat, etc. The location isn't right in the heart of old town, but we liked it better because it got us out of the city center and allowed us to see other, equally amazing parts of the city. Would recommend to anyone looking for VERY affordable, comfortable accommodations in/around Riga.
As a side note, I need to recognize the service in particular of Armands, who made us feel as if we were welcomed by a friend at check in and then throughout our stay ensured that we were comfortable and happy. He was truly a joy to interact with!
Good choice for those who would like to live in the very center of Old City with all the necessary public places at hand but for the low price.
Rooms are really comfy, a mini bar has a wide choice of snacks and drinks, the cleaning service works really well. The only thing I don't like is some lack of towels: there are two towels per person and one additional floor towel. I understand that three stars are three stars, but if it's possible, it would be great to have one more towel added to this set.
Also, my room has a little problem with a shower (it leaks), however, it's not something awful, just a bit of repairing works needed. In general, it's obvious that this hotel is quite old, so that all the flaws are like justified :)
Breakfast is good for this price, too (two kinds of eggs, yoghurt, corn flakes, sausages etc.)
I will evaluate this hotel high since it's actually a nice place to stay.
It was absolutely amazing. We just went in and everything was already waiting for us. Get your swim trunks on and get in. Absolutely amazing gift for 1 or two people. Very quiet and relaxing.
I’m was living in those beautiful Apartment at Soviet Era! They have wonderful passages and hidden places under building!! Very impressive to walk with flashlights , special at night time!!:)
Changed to 5* (I'm not used to give 5* but thinking better the hotel deserves them). Wonderful atmosphere. Every tiny details were very nice. Very big room. Perfect clean. I would appreciate a place to put our big luggages but the room was so big that also on the floor they don't bother you. (Dancing Room).

Well during corona cafes are closed, but all sights are just near. Just everything is so close.
We had the most wonderful time here in Riga, and the hotel helped with that. Firstly it's in the best possible location. I doubt there would be a more perfect location in the city. It's close to the winter markets, shops, bars and restaurants. Seriously. On all three evenings our walk back from either the restaurants or the cocktails bars was less than 2 minutes. The staff here were faultless, always really friendly, polite and helpful. it was always tidy and clean.
Before I arrived I read a few reviews on here and had my fears before I checked in but none of the miserable reviews turned out to be anything like what they were saying.
I'll be honest, it's probably not a 5 star. We're not in Dubai or new York. It doesn't need to be. The location and cleanliness of the hotel makes the hotel for me and the way the staff were super friendly puts the cherry on top.
Would highly recommend it to anybody who wants a hotel in a brilliant location for a decent price.
