Very clean. Stylish interior. Perfect location. Very friendly staff :)
The hotel is well placed in the historic area. It is easy to walk to the freedom monument. The interior design is lovely with much beautiful glass floors and elevators. The breakfast is lovely and generous.
The room is nice, but a guest should be aware of certain details. First, towels are thin. You’ll need to call right away to get more than the two thin towels that are supplied. The shower does not properly drain, so there is a significant pool of water after showering. The hotel has tried to remedy by putting a towel inside of the shower, but that clogs the drain. You will need the extra towels to mop up the water. Also, when you call for the towels, get shampoo as the hotel only gives you one on arrival. For Americans that value a ‘top’ sheet, it took 3 days for the hotel to give us one double duvet and a top sheet. Ask them to set up the bed, ‘ American style.’ There is a teapot in the room, but instant coffee is supplied and no milk. So wait for breakfast, as the coffee is excellent. Bring a eye mask to sleep as it is not possible to fully darken the room.
Absolutely fantastic location, in the very heart of Old Riga, surrounded by pedestrian area, numerous restaurants and bars, walkable distance to pretty much all tourist's attractions. This little jewel of Riga is as beautiful and sophisticated as it is comfortable. And breakfast, oh that breakfast, will make you want to stay forever.
Wow, what an amazing stay. I was in Riga for a business trip and my wife traveled with. We both loved the hotel from the moment we walked in. The staff were absolutely amazing, especially the lady that checked us in on our arrival. The hotel is really beautiful and has everything one would need. I highly recommend it, thanks Relais le Chevalier, you made our stay in Riga a memorable one
Really wanted to like this place based on reviews. Location and look of the hotel was great, however, the a/c didn't seem to work properly and the breakfast was overcooked. Disappointed.
