This place is great for the price and excellent in customer service. The workers there are truly amazing and have helped us with our one day trip very well and I highly staying here!!
I have only a few things that can be improved:
The towels were as rough as sandpaper, mind you I usually don't care about tiny things like this but damn, the towels really hurt when I dried my face (please get some new, softer towels).
The shower in my room (307) wasn't draining correctly.
Wished the elevator came up from the entrance of the hotel.
Besides that, for the price and convenience of where we were in the center of the city, it is worth the price!!
Great hotel really. Historic building in Quito’s beautiful Historic Centre.
Customer service: polite, helpful, welcoming and smiling staff.
Room: spacious, clean and pleasant.
Bed and pillows: very comfortable, clean and smelled fresh.
bathroom: not very big, but enough, stylish and very clean. No shampoo provided, just small soap bars.
Everything works well (which is not very common in Ecuador).
Price: really good value for money (no deception, no hidden fees).
However, the windows and curtains are very thin, which means noise from the streets and bright light early in the morning as well as at night from street lights. I still gave this hotel a 5 because it deserves it.
This hotel somehow restored my faith in Ecuadorian hotels after some disappointing experiences with the deceptive, substandard tourism industry. So thank you for being among the good ones.
I chose this place because of proximity to Quito historic district and its description states "a/c". It's location is great but.... didn't expect to be on main corner with cops blowing whistle to control 6am traffic, be in a room with a window shut solid, extra firm beds(like sleeping on stone slab firm), dimly lit hallways and stairs, door alarm with siren sound to alert staff of someone in entrance stairways, second alarm when you approach front door, walk thru jewelry vendors inside front hallway to stairway and when you exit hotel you come upon ladies of the night offering services.
Best thing this place had was Carlos, he was on point but he should be with the Ritz Hotel chain.
Excellent location. The personnel is very friendly! They have tours on request at the hotel, rooms and bathrooms are very good. Everything clean and in order. It will be my place of arrival in Quito.
