Hands down the best, I mean the BEST boutique hotel I have ever stayed in, the historical significance is evident before you enter the hotel, the view from the second floor seating area is breathtaking. Each floor has its own unique significance and is directly linked to the history of Ecuador. The most friendly staff I ever come across and the Jacuzzi in the basement is one of a kind, if you want to be pampered and want a unique experience like no other, I recommend ILLA Experience

This actually says a lot, we are avid travellers and have been in many places including Paris, London, Marrakech, Bangkok and have stayed at some pretty fancy properties… but ILLA was remarkable in many ways, the beautiful location within a residential area, interaction with local people and the gold leaf restauration experience just blew our minds. We learned so much from the fascinating culture of Quito and Grandma traditions like the tangerine shell coffee!
