The restaurant at this hotel would be a five star restaurant in the U.S. The hotel has a nice rooftop restaurant. The service was excellent, the view extraordinary, the ambience romantic, and the food was prepared perfectly. It was a delicious meal that included an appetizer, three salads, two entrees, five glasses of delicious wine, and two cocktails. It was about $90 and worth double what I paid for. It should be a "must do" for any couple that wants an intimate, romantic evening. They had a musician playing guitar with great background music.
Service was almost non existent, it was so frustrating. We sat for two hours before our food came out. Then they told us that dessert was going to take a while because they had other tables ahead of us, so we left. They never apologized for or even acknowledged the slow service. It took more than 30 minutes for someone to come take our order, I don’t even think we had bread until an hour after we sat down. For a place this expensive, I think it’s reasonable to expect good service. As for the food, the portions were small, but I liked the menu and found the dishes to be well done and really tasty. Also the live music was a nice touch. I’m trying to be fair here, while still noting that the restaurant really dropped the ball. I would recommend going only when it’s not busy, based on this experience
