Excellent place to stay! Each room has it’s own vibe and they are adding on 10 additional rooms. There is so much detail and wonderful art throughout the property. Breakfast is amazing, try the chilaquiles. Staff are friendly and welcoming. They are helpful with guest needs. We have stayed in the Alejandro suite and it’s has gorgeous views of the city and mountainside with its own private kitchen and sitting room. It’s quite and private. We have also stayed in the Carlotta suite. It has it’s own private entrance on the street behind the main entrance. It’s very spacious with a full kitchen, two baths and a large living room. We look forward to our next stay!
Our favorite place! Every room is cute and unique and it's a great experience when you book all 8 rooms. We did an amazing multi course meal for everyone and it was reasonably priced, and the best food we had in PV.
This hotel is so beautiful and magical. The owner has lovingly restored his grandmother’s home into a charming and breathtaking boutique hotel. We have been returning guests for many years. The staff is so friendly and the breakfasts are delicious. The location is great: along an enchanting mountain river that leads you right to the ocean. In the heart of the Zona Romantica, a delightful and very safe neighborhood full of great restaurants, shops and galleries. The beds are so comfortable, the linens are luxurious, and the entire hotel has a filtered water system. We cannot say enough good things about this place.
According to Expedia "Parking is included"
PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED. PARKING IS NONEXISTENT. Only street parking is available. The hotel does not have its own parking. When I asked the attendant whether the hotel has parking or not he tried to avoid the question over and over. He finally admitted there is no on-site parking, but he could guarantee a street parking spot in the view of hotel cameras. Somewhat acceptable. This hotel is guilty of false advertising to some degree and Expedia has not done its due diligence. Pretty sad really. I feel bad for the attendant. Having to deal with false advertising must be very stressful.
In any case, when I arrived, Jerry took my luggage and was very attentive and helpful. Thanks to his good vibe I didn't cancel my reservation.
I was going to take the Maria room, which is nice, but he offered me a suite at a discount because of the construction going on at the hotel.
The hotel is just south of the Rio Cuale. Great location because it's close to the Malecon and the Zona Romantica gayborhood. At night couples walk by. People jog and some walk their dogs. One unsavory character with a boom box does walk around the neighborhood though. Mostly normal people in the surrounding houses. I recommend the chicken tamales on the corner. 16 pesos each. Nice and clean lady. She sells them in the evenings.
The suite is really nice. I love the colors. Pinks, mauves, purples. The suite is spacious and cute. It comes with a small kitchen and patio upstairs. Very cool. So cool I forgot the false advertising. Jerry also threw in free breakfast. Sadly, the breakfast is very limited. You only get what they have...OK... The breakfast is good though.
I do recommend staying here because it's cute and you'll love it if you love quaint, eccentric boutique hotels. However, false advertising is never good. Also, things got very inconsistent towards the end of my stay. For example, I requested that whoever was on shift, reserve a street spot under the cameras for me. The attendant I haven't met(not Jerry) took his time to answer. About two hours later. Last I spoke with him, he was slightly off putting. I had decided not to let this inconsistency ruin my day or control my time. I left the hotel to do what I had to do. If he would never have answered my text, I likely would have to get a spot in a parking structure 600 meters away. It is the closest one. Not good. Not good at all. This hotel really needs to get its act together. Period.
I've only visited here, not stayed. This is a very boutique small hotel across from the river. Beautiful interior and top notch management.
