This was a wonderful hotel! I highly recommend if you're staying in Puerto Vallarta that you check out Garlands del Rio. It is a quaint little unassuming gem. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. We arrived an hr early for check in and instead of telling us to come back, they kindly took our luggage, directed us to the beautiful patio next to the river and gave us yummy margaritas. Once our room was ready, they carried our bags up the stairs for us(no elevator). We had a large private patio overlooking the river below and the room was better than the pictures in my opinion. The room was large and had more than enough storage for however long you plan to stay. The best part of the entire room was, by far, the bathroom. I really can't describe it any better than the pictures posted. Breathtaking! Huge glass windows that opened fully into nature.
I was totally charmed by this boutique hotel. They helped me reschedule my dates after my plans changed, despite the fact that I'd booked thru expedia and didn't have to. Then I arrived and fell in love with the outdoor patio by a cool, shady, river. (If you can get the 1st floor rooms that back up to the patio, take it). The staff led by Daniel was helpful, attentive, and communicative. Their other property is a cooler old building with a pool and I may check that out next time, but this one is great.
I had an absolute charming stay: the hotel was lovely and pretty, and the staff was pure kindness and attention. Thanks again!

Authentic Art Deco paradise with a wonderful accommodating, kind, friendly staff. Full breakfast served on a beautiful patio by the river that is always cool, quiet and refreshing. Even though the property is very close to shops, restaurants and the beach it’s always feels secluded and peaceful. Perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Thank you to Jerry, Grant and Martha for being so so lovely. If you get the chance to visit their sister property, Rivera del Rio don’t miss it. Both places have an old Hollywood- Elizabeth Taylor era vibe but the Rivera takes it to the next level, very opulent. Bravo
