Great location right on ocean about 15 min from airport. Luxurious resort with friendly, courteous staff.
3 different hotel rooms we entered had a strong musty smell, which was partially offset by a dehumidifier that the resort provided. Room was spacious and upscale.
Food was pretty good. Ala carte restaurants had availability with no reservations required. Mixed drinks were weak but could be enhanced by ordering an extra shot of the same alcohol to add in.
Smoking is allowed everywhere except hotel rooms and indoor restaurants. Bad part was that there weren't any designated non-smoking areas in public places.
Entertainment was very good. They have a casino with sports bar in it but no audio for sports game viewing.
Watch out for upselling!!! From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out, the resort personnel tried to get us to spend money on food, drinks, services, spa, etc which were all severely over-priced. ~$200 for a 60min massage when you could get one on the beach right next to the resort for $35.

Think twice before coming here! Not a safe Resort! Came here with my sister hoping for a relaxing time but hours after our arrival my sister was drugged by another couple who befriended her. My sister had to be treated by a Doctor. I told the resort manager who drugged her but they failed to call the Police. They did kick them out of the resort but where not eager to call the police. I guess they didn’t want the attention. This might sound like a one sided rant but it’s true. We booked this trip though Costco Travel... I hope they don’t promote this place anymore.
**Update** so the manager, Fernando Ramirez, locked us out of our room until we signed a release of liability for the hotel. This is a low move on the hotels part. I guess they feel guilty and wanted to strong arm us into signing. Reluctantly I did. Again please don’t support this place until they change their policy regarding calling the police when a crime has been committed. Another reason to avoid Mexico.
Stayed there twice now very nice place would recommend to all.
