Palacio 199 was amazing. Our host Claudia (hope the spelling is correct) was incredible - welcoming, friendly and an expert with local information. Each morning we were presented with delicious breakfasts, smiles and jovial conversations - an absolute delight. Didn’t want to leave! Very sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful host/accommodation. I can’t say enough about this place. Logan and his staff made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in the door.
My friends and I rented the entire place (7 bedrooms) for a week, each room with a private bathroom. The place suited our every need. Conveniently located a few blocks from Playa de los Muertos and the Malécon, but far enough to avoid the noise and congestion, we could not have asked for a better location.
The staff was helpful in every way imaginable including arranging transportation, hiring a bartender, and even picking up supplies. Our rooms were made up daily, and a delicious hot breakfast was served every morning.
The rooftop pool was small but adequate for 14 people to cool off in and relax, with both sunny locations and shade when you’ve had too much sun.
The Pinnacle resort tram is located a few steps from the front door for those who can’t manage the 96 steps (yes, we counted) up from Olas Altas.
We spent a week at Palacio 199 in early August and we're treated to one of the best PV experiences we've had in 9 visits there. Logan, Claudia, Ellie, and Rosa specialize in old fashioned hospitality that you don't find anywhere anymore. The rooms are immaculate, spotless, and very comfortable. Common areas are like villa rather than a B n B. Location was perfect for everything in the Romantic Zone, even on rainy evenings. This is definitely a best kept secret in PV.
Amazing place to stay in a nice neighborhood, close to the beach, restaurants and clubs yet super quiet. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is good. Also they have the best bed ever.
Incredible place with an amazing and friendly staff, will most definitely return ASAP
