We had a wonderful stay. We stayed for a week on the Adult side which is The Hacienda. Only 25% was open at the time due to COVID of course but after 3 days more opened up. When we first showed up only the snack bar, pool bar and Starbucks on the adult side was open even though there were 2 other restaurants on adult side which eventually opened since the city’s restrictions lifted. The HILTON side had all the restaurants open which were 4 in total. We only ate at the 1 breakfast one which is buffet but it’s not very good food. We met people that said the Italian and the Mediterranean restaurant were tasty. We mainly stayed on the adult side , very clean very peaceful. The food from the pool snack at was delicious and we mainly ate that. The staff was absolutely amazing, so nice. We also felt very safe, they temperature checked you and sanitize sanitize sanitize every time you come back to the hotel or even cross over from one side to the other. The Hilton side where kids are the pool was dirty looking, it was loud and just not for us. For the value it’s completely worth it even during these times.
While the venue is amazing, the issue is with room service and the cleaning service.
Out of a 5 night stay cleaning service only showed up once, all the other times required constant reminders. At one point I called for cleaning service 3 times and they never showed.
Hopefully they are just understaffed, but with Covid-19 constant room cleaning would be greatly appreciated.
The service, rooms, pool, and drinks we all nice and clean. However, the food was just awful and it was impossible to make a reservation at any of the restaurants that weren’t a buffet. The all inclusiveness is not worth it if you aren’t planning on heavy drinking. Get food off campus.
Incredible place to stay. Feels like you are in the jungle every time you leave your room. Really peaceful quiet chill vibe. Stark contrast to the Hilton side.
Advertised as adult-only, but is not. All dining options include family dining
All table-service restaurants on the hacienda side were closed, so it was the snack bar if looking to dine adult-only.
The grounds and service were wonderful, with Juan at the pool bar going above and beyond despite the subpar alcohol choices, and running out of Jack Daniels and Jim Beam (among other median brands).
The food ranged from mediocre to good, with buffets for breakfast and lunch, and table service as a dinner option. The adult-only resorts we have frequented always had table service for each meal.
Overall, disappointing. We will not return.
