The words "Pinnacle" and "Resort" are truly redefined if you're using it to describe this place. I've seen hostels and county jails more clean and accommodating!
We recently stayed here after they held our money ransom and refused to refund or reschedule our stay due to COVID. Considering the occupancy here, I now get why they did it...they're starving to death! That was the first red flag. Secondly, there are 3 properties. The one I'm reviewing is 180 and it IS THE WORST of the 3 from what we observed. There is no roof top pool, it's on the ground floor and sits in the shade, don't be fooled by their beautiful pics of the other two properties that actually do have roof top pools claiming 180 has it, it doesn't! When we checked in they informed us if we wanted to visit either of the neighboring properties we'd have to pay $10 a person to event sit and drink or eat there. 179, their neighboring property charged $20 a person and treated us like we were homeless for being there, can't even make this up!
Now on to the room; we stayed in what was dubbed as the "Andrew Christian Suite" with a hot tub. If Andrew saw this place, he'd sue them for trademark violations. We were giving these cute little tote bags with expired coupon cards, a charcoal mask and a bottle of their finest wine which was just vinegar! The place was small, they use fish lens photos to make the place look more appealing then it is and the photos don't necessarily represent the actual room. If you've ever wanted to experience waterborne disease, their hot tub is primed for Dysentery, Typhoid fever, Cholera, Schistosomiasis the list goes on! The hot tub was riddled with mold, the maintenance guys came in, scrubbed a bit then gave up and left. You'd be better off soaking in toilet water! But wait, there's more! Housekeeping uses each units washer and dryer to do the linen and towels. Soooo if you want housekeeping, don't plan to do your laundry since it will be tied up all day doing YOUR towels and YOUR linens...maybe just do them yourself??
Last and final thing, don't do their onsite COVID test for $200 USD, you can find clinics around town for $25-$35 USD. This place is a joke and anyone rating it above two stars hasn't traveled or likely lives in slum housing.
Great experience! Will definitely go again with the gal! The moment I arrived in the Uber there was a nice gentleman ready to open our door and take our luggage out the trunk. We arrived during The summer of 2020 so Covid precautions was the experience we arrived to. The staff was extremely friendly. Only scary thing was the Security Deposit amount you have to put down. In my case it ended up being more than the actual stay of two nights. But two days after you check out you'll see it back in your account so no worries. I stayed in the beach view hot tub room. The view was nice and the hot tub worked fine! The housekeeping is really awesome and neat. The Wifi is extremely fast! The trolly that takes you down to to the street to get to the malecon is really dope! but if you want to get a work out on going up or down those steps then be my guest! lol. Overall great experience. I will be going back again.
