1 Rivera del Rio Boutique Hotel

Excellent place to stay! Each room has it’s own vibe and they are adding on 10 additional rooms. There is so much detail and wonderful art throughout the property. Breakfast is amazing, try the chilaquiles. Staff are friendly and welcoming. They are helpful with guest needs. We have stayed in the Alejandro suite and it’s has gorgeous views of the city and mountainside with its own private kitchen and sitting room. It’s quite and private. We have also stayed in the Carlotta suite. It has it’s own private entrance on the street behind the main entrance. It’s very spacious with a full kitchen, two baths and a large living room. We look forward to our next stay!
2 Beach Condos Nadia Puerto Vallarta

I did not stay here but had breakfast at the kitchen on the top floor. The food was delicious and the staff were great! There is a beautiful roof top pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean as well as a good view of the town.
3 Casa Cupula Boutique LGBT Hotel

Just an all around wonderful quirky hotel with incredible staff who will know what you want before you do. We loved our private hot tub and pool (we stayed in the penthouse suite but all rooms looked like they had their own unique awesome touches. The owner greeted us personally and is often on site socializing with his team and his regular customers. I can’t wait to try it under non-pandemic circumstances. It was a truly unique stay, I loved the hotel pool, I loved that it was clothing optional though I chose to stay clothed (and masked). The dancers were a fun touch to the pool. My one complaint was hot water for the shower. Two complaints - the stove took 30 minutes to boil water - so all my complaints are hot eater related. Otherwise loved it all. Definitely will go back - we were interested in a private pool more than shenanigans, but I get the feeling there are definitely awesome shenanigans here. And we had a couples spa day for under US 300 for both - massages, facials, body wraps in our suite. It was one of my favorite vacation days of all time.
4 Villamercedes Petit Hotel Puerto Vallarta

Just spent a week in Puerto Vallarta. Hotel villa Mercedes is such an amazing little hotel. Makes you feel like you’re part of the culture. And all the workers are amazing and super nice. The breakfast is incredible and authentic. The rooms are very well decorated and it also included books which I appreciate it. Also the shower pressure is to die for. I highly recommend This location for your next Stay in Puerto Vallarta.
5 Almar Resort Luxury LGBT Beach Front Experience

images
Staff is really attentive and the rooms look absolutely fantastic. Food at the Top Sky Bar was delicious, and if you are there when it starts getting cold at night they even offer blankets... Great experience. When they finish construction of the new facilities no doubt it will be even better.
6 HOTELITO PATIO AZUL

images
This is a fantastic hotel with immaculate and beautiful rooms. We had an ocean view room that was phenomenal. The staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it!
7 Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway

images
Such a dream getaway! You are welcomed with a delicious drink and incredible service. The resort is beautiful. There is one lap pool and one warmer, swim-up bar pool. The resort is right on the beach with beautiful views. There are three restaurants. We only got to experience 2, but both were incredible and offered delicious vegetarian options. The staff is so friendly and the hotel is quiet and clean.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite, mostly for the deck with the hammock and outdoor jacuzzi. The room is a little small though, so if you’re willing the spend the $40-$80 more each night, I would recommend the master suite. You still get a hot tub outside with panoramic views and much more space inside. No hammock though:)
This resort is adults only, but as a guest here, you also have access to the resort next door with even more pools, lounging beds, restaurants and bars. The buffet there is really good!
Anyway! Well worth the money. You need to stay here!
8 Fiesta Inn Puerto Vallarta Isla

images
A little tricky to get into the hotel if you take a cab or an Uber. You walk through the mall and there is a door there that you need to push a button to ask for help. You check in on another level.
The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and basic. No refrigerator or ice bucket. I did not use the pool but did walk around and it looks very relaxing. Overall a great place for the price.
9 Luna Liquida Hotel Boutique

images
Beautiful boutique hotel with great views of Puerto Vallarta from our room where we loved to sit on the deck and enjoy our morning coffee offered here. They common area has a wide open floor plan with great views where we enjoyed meeting up with our friends for a game of dominos. The roof top area has lounge chairs where I enjoyed reading after a quick swim literally hanging out of the building overlooking the entire city. Gorgeous set up throughout with great service.
10 Garlands del Rio Boutique Hotel

images
This was a wonderful hotel! I highly recommend if you're staying in Puerto Vallarta that you check out Garlands del Rio. It is a quaint little unassuming gem. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. We arrived an hr early for check in and instead of telling us to come back, they kindly took our luggage, directed us to the beautiful patio next to the river and gave us yummy margaritas. Once our room was ready, they carried our bags up the stairs for us(no elevator). We had a large private patio overlooking the river below and the room was better than the pictures in my opinion. The room was large and had more than enough storage for however long you plan to stay. The best part of the entire room was, by far, the bathroom. I really can't describe it any better than the pictures posted. Breathtaking! Huge glass windows that opened fully into nature.

A Perfect Palette for Dining Pleasures
An elegant and charming restaurant with intriguing ambiance. As I anxiously yanked the rope-pull-down-door bell on the big wooden doors welcoming guests, I wondered what "magical charms" lie behind it. The doors opened revealing a palette of warm colors and collection of lines, shapes and contours exciting my sensory pleasures. A muralist, my world is a canvas for my imagination, so I turned my attention to the interior colonial architecture in search of surfaces where I could incorporate my artwork. I was not disappointed. The venue offers a unique dining experience set in an aura of tranquility and nostalgia of past “tinsel town” romances that flourished here. Nestled on the rooftop is a lofty dining scene featuring 180-degree breathtaking views of Banderas Bay, where against the backdrop of moonlight reflections and serenades by a quintessential Mariachi Band, our group enjoyed a wonderful culinary experience. My dish of shrimp brochette over red sauce was perfect. The consensus of our group was the dinner was undeniably the best ever, the service impeccable, attentive and unpretentious. During dinner, however, I inadvertently stained a new linen shirt I had borrowed (because I flunked the dress code). Embarrassing myself, a member of management, rushed to my aid. She whisked me to the side, removed my shirt, sending it to be cleaned and returning it a very short time later cleaned and pressed. Thank you for restoring my pride and preserving my fond memories.
12 San Trópico

Great location! 20 minutes of walking to get to the shopping center. The hotel is beautiful! It's so green. The rooms are upgraded, the kitchen is well equipped. The food at the hotel was delicious. It was quiet and best of all we had the pool and jacuzzi all to ourselves after 5pm. Family friendly and great customer service! I will be definately booking again.
13 Casa Velas

images
We are huge fans of small, full-service, adults only boutique resorts, which made Casa Velas perfect for our relaxing Valentine's weekend. From the moment we got there, we were pampered and treated like royalty. The property was so clean, quiet and covid-sensitive. They even provided complimentary rapid tests, on-site, for our flight back home to the U.S. We had a blast with the small number of guests there, hanging out on our pool cabanas and swimming in the huge pool (swim up bar). Everyone, including the staff were friendly and accommodating. We never waited more than a few minutes at the pool or restaurant before someone was asking what they could get for us. Our favorite time was at the Tau Beach Club, watching the whales, swimming, drinking amazing spicy margaritas and dining during sunset. The food was great, especially the pool menu with lots of fresh tuna and ceviche. It was magical - and just a short walk from Casa Velas. They also will happily drive you there - or to any of their sister properties for more all-inclusive experiences. Even though the evening entertainment was cancelled at Casa Velas and the spa was closed (treatments available in your suite), we had a great time.
14 Casa Ritual Hotel Boutique

images
Casa Ritual is such an amazing and friendly place! Kayla is so sweet and so helpful, truly a remarkable and safe space! 5 out of 5 for me, high recommend to friends and family.
15 Hotel Mio Vallarta

images
Room was spacious and comfortable, with a good view of the city and beach. Great location- easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach. Helpful and accommodating staff. The room did not include a coffee maker, but I asked the front desk and they gave me one with coffee & sugar refilled daily (they have a few of these that are available by request only).
Breakfast is decent- nice atmosphere and sometimes there is live music.
Only downside is construction activity right in front of the hotel which also makes parking and exiting the hotel a bit of a hassle.
16 Hotel Grand Paramar

images
We had the Casa Don Martin penthouse with 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, seating and jacuzzi WOW what an amazing hotel we loved it, what a gorgeous view from balcony, pool and terrace 360 views. Practically beach front where you walk just across a small street to the beach. Staff was very nice and attentive. Great coffee & continental breakfast. No doubt our favorite place where we will be here again. Great location, so many restaurants nearby and shopping and we still walked every day to the malecon and centro.
17 Casa Maria Hotel Boutique & Gallery

images
This was my first time staying at Casa Maria, I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even prior to my arrival, I had few questions that were answer quickly through email. The entire hotel has a really cute and inviting decor. I love the idea of having a mid size fridge and microwave on the room, which made easy to keep snacks on the room. The room came with a safe as well.. The pool are was always clean. And the hotel is located just a few steps from the main street, a block from the beach. I will definitely come back and stay here
18 Lofts On Basilio

images
Highly recommended for those looking for cozy loft stay experience, conveniently located in PV! Awesome host, great hospitality. This is our first trip together since COVID19 and it’s all worth it. We got the 2-bed loft, HUGE space, love the high ceiling, the bed was so comfy I had the best sleep ever! Thanks for the welcome beer in the room (great touch). We love the mix of modern contemporary + Mexican flairs, the arts in the room are great. Awesome rooftop area to enjoy the sun ☀️ while enjoying the panoramic view of PV. We will definitely be back
19 Casa Dona Susana

images
I loved this quaint small hotel. The staff is friendly, offering an old style charm.
If are looking for the Ritz, you should stay there. If you want clean, friendly service Casa Susana is the place.
20 Casa Nicole Boutique Hotel

images
Today I had the pleasure of eating breakfast at Casa Nicole Restaurante. I ordered the classic french toast and the chef's signature egg dish alongside hot coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Let me tell you what a treat it was! The thick cuts of bread coated with surgery goodness was amazing and the hash browns + eggs with bacon and avocado melted in my mouth! Everything was wonderfully done down to the the ambiance of the newly remodeled Mexican modern space to the incredibly kind and attentive staff. I will be visiting many more times to come!
