This was hands down the best place I have ever stayed. Located in the heart of Porto, walking distance to just about anywhere you want (it's a small city) the sightseeing, restaurant options were endless. Our room was the one with the enclosed balcony and it was private. With the lovely sea breeze rolling in through the balcony throughout the day/night. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough that we weren't crowded with our myriad belonging but still cozy.. A small hotel / B&B like energy here where every facet of your stay was taken care of by the amazing staff. They had breakfast for us every morning of our choosing (we did that instead of go out, which is rare for us) and recommended and reserved all of our restaurants and activities. If you come here I implore you to stay here because it made our visit more special and memorable.

Perfect, ideal location- situated right by the river and many restaurants! Hotel was clean and the room was quite spacious. Train station is a bit of a hilly walk but only 10 minutes away. The breakfast was delicious with fresh pastries, eggs, fruits and mousses. After midnight, it was so noise was never an issue but only criticism is that the beds were slightly uncomfortable.
3 Hotel Torel Avantgarde

I've been to a few 5* hotels but this was by far the best ever!
Why?
The attention to detail is incredible. Beautiful views. Beautiful stylish and roomy rooms. Wonderful breakfast (even with Eggs Benn). Amazingly helpful staff. Nothing was too much. Great recommendations. We had to stay in after 1pm due to curfew on Saturday but they were creative in making our time even better by putting a few different offers on. It showed they really care, offering class, elegance and ability to be creative. No wonder this has won so many awards! Before you book something else a bit cheaper, just call these guys directly and you'll always remember this hotel for the rest of your life.
I came in Nov 2020 and have since booked for my whole family as a Christmas present for April. Cannot wait to be back!

A very cozy brunch place within a hotel. Personally I thought the à la carte menu was pricier than other brunch places in downtown Porto and although the food is very good, the quantities are not as generous as in other venues. Did not have the opportunity to try the brunch set menu, which is only served on weekends, so do take my critique with a grain of salt.
5 Hotel Premium Porto Downtown

Great hotel in a very good location. The big plus goes to the members of staff that are truly amazing! Great service, very good breakfast and at reasonable price. If you’re thinking of a nice place to stay think no further! Well recommended!
6 Yours Guesthouse

images
This is undoubtedly one of the best hostels in which I have ever stayed. The staff was amazing, taking care of us during our whole stay, the food was superb and the views of the city breathtaking. Next time I travel to Porto, I will pay a visit to this place.
8 Casa dos Lóios Boutique Guesthouse

Nice guesthouse in the middle of the city. Very friendly staff and clean, well maintained rooms. The bathrooms could be a bit better, and the breakfast could certainly be improved (€2 extra for eggs seems a bit silly and the coffee is not very good), but for the price and location is really very good.
9 Hotel da Música

Convenient and well located hotel. 6 stars for the staff, really welcoming, kind and arranging. Thanks for having us.

13 Hill 'n Chill Hostel

Close to the well known attraction and wine cellars, but hidden from crowds - a perfect place to stay in Porto! We got a room with a view on the new bridge and some wine houses. The owner was very helpful and surprised as positively a number of times. Definitely recommend!
15 Charm Palace Porto

I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our time at Charm Palace! Our room was so unique and beautiful and we felt very comfortable and at home. Vasko greeted us upon check-in and he made our stay so enjoyable and fun. …
See you soon

We've stayed here two days during our visit in Porto.
The hotel has a great location, it's basically in the city centre, very close to the train station and you've also got a tour bus stop about 2 minutes walk away. The place has two parts, one is in the classic building, the other is in the back garden, a newly built building with 2 floors. We've stayed in the outside one.
The room was spacious for two, had great design and had everything we needed. We also had a big balcony with some patio furniture. The room seems brand new and even though it doesn't affect us I like the fact that it's wheelchair friendly. The bed was soft and super comfortable, you could tell they went with quality furniture. The bathroom was pretty and everything was very clean. The room is in the back garden it was also very quiet. I was missing a socket next to my side of the bed (room 211), and maybe to adjust the water so one push actives the shower for at least 1 minute. Now you need to push the button every 10-20 seconds which can be a bit annoying (I'm all for saving water though).
The breakfast was great as well, maybe they could have had more selection but we both found things we liked. They had fresh fruits, cold cuts, pancakes, croissants and yoghurt. I would have liked to see more options for oatmeals, cornflakes, etc. You can also ask for scrambled eggs and orange juice. It would be nice if they'd put a paper on the tables telling you what you can order as it wasn't obvious at first. They also have some local, Portuguese food I didn't know (bread with some cinnamon on top). Again it would be nice if they'd put some signs for the not-so-obvious food. I would have also liked to see some pastel de nata on the menu as it's something very typical from here.
I'd also like to highlight how amazing the hospitality is in this place, the girls were extremely helpful and nice, they genuinely cared we had a great experience. So 5* to the ladies for customer service!
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back again! We visited during the pandemic at the end of August so we've got a great deal, maybe it's more expensive during normal, peak season.
Thanks for everything Josefa! ❤️

One of my favorite hotels! This place is so cute and has such friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, clean, and amazing shower with great products. The best part about this was the breakfast - it was hands down our favorite breakfast in Europe. You feel like you are at home and the ladies making all the food were so welcoming! Such a great experience and would stay here again if I get the chance to go back to Porto!
18 Duas Portas

INCREDIBLE!!!!! Booked out the entire hotel for the weekend on my wife's 30th birthday for 15 of us. Luisa and the team were absolutely stunning. The design is immaculate and modern, but still very charming without feeling cold. THE BEDS...OH THE BEDS. I dunno what they are made out of, maybe feathers from angels?? The staff were so genuine and accommodating to any of our needs. Incredible fresh cakes for breakfast. The garden is such an oasis, the stroll along the river across the street, the sound of the historic trolley passing by the front, everything, everything, everything was so perfect. A 7-10min cab to the center of town was very quick and convenient. Cannot say enough about how amazing this place is!

20 Blue door GuestHouse

Friendly, family-run hotel with great location, just outside noisy town centre. Lovely room. No tv but that's fine by me although i would have liked a fridge. Access to a nice little garden at the back. Breakfast was fine but not particularly special. I would recommend a stay at the price.
