Calm and super beautiful boutique hotel, perfect for relaxing. The staff makes you feel very welcoming and are super kind. We loved how they made it like a small village around the pool area, looking like all small bungalows. Each has it own small porch with a hammock. Everything is clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, in the middle of the strip with all restaurants and bars. Breakfast of the hotel is from an outsourcing restaurant that is connected to it. Service was outstanding as well, the only thing that could be improved are more vegan options instead of only fruit and basic salad ingredients. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place.
The Marquee is a very nice boutique hotel. The designs are sleek and modern when first entering. They have an iPAD to check in on and an attentive front desk who speaks english as well. The front desk showed us to our rooms and gave us a tour inside (which might not be the best considering COVID times but appreciate the hospitality). The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, sheets were soft, and the room was spacious for 2 people (we had the king bedroom). Room looked just like the pictures. We did not experience the pool or rooftop bar because the bar was not open yet so can't speak on that too much. The are was kind of smaller than I'd like it to be but still nice. I will say when we checked in there was an issue in price (I was supposed to stay at the Calixta down the street but it was closed during COVID) but it was remediated quickly and thoroughly! So customer service here is top notch. All employees wore masks and there was hand sanitizer present at the front desk. We did not have housekeeping come in our rooms during out stay due to COVID.
One con is what other reviews wrote below me: noise. The walls are thin and you can hear all the noise outside and inside the hotel. There was a bar with a live band our first night so we could hear all of that and just people talking outside so if you are a light sleeper this might not be the best place. Other than that our stay was perfect!
Beautiful hotel! They really thing of everything, in every room they have packaged masks& hand sanitizer! Also, cute white masks are available at the lobby upon request! The service up at the pool, PHENOMENAL! They take care of you! The only thing I didn’t like was that the hot water in my room took forever to heat up. I was in room 207, so try and avoid this room. Water took like ten min to heat up.
The location is great! Very close to the main street but far enough so it's not loud during the night. The staff was super friendly and everything was clean and very well kept. Would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in Playa del Carmen at a great price.
A true sanctuary in the heart of PDC. Serenity, amazing staff, and the location is unbeatable. Long or short stays, this boutique property is all you need. Clean, comfortable and a villa feel.
Loved this place. My wife and I came here on a Saturday. Chilled in a daybed, awesome DJ, amazing service, good food and drinks, really nice pool and easy access to ocean. Have to spend 600 pesos per person which isn't bad compared to other spots. I would definitely come here again.
2 nights into my 8 night stay and already looking to leave. The first night the air conditioner was leaking a steady flow of water all of the counter. The receptionist gave me a bucket, so i got to listen to that all night. Maintenance came this morning and “fixed” the issue, but now the AC is stuck on full blast and it is FREEZING. I told the receptionist and he told me he will call maintenance in the morning again. I asked for an extra blanket and he offered me towels.
Edit: after my third night one of the employees, Mario who is a great man, upgraded our room and made our stay much better
Planned a last minute trip to Playa Del Carmen, just returned from an amazing experience. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect with Covid....Playa Palms did not disappoint! I had an ocean front room, it was clean and cute! I cannot say enough about the staff, customer service was top notch, everyone always had a smile on their face and always ready to accommodate. In order to fly back to the US, we had to get a Covid test to prove negative results. The hotel arranged for the lab to come to our room, administer the test and then hand delivered the results the morning of our departure. Could not have been any easier. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Playa del Carmen!! Thanks Playa Palms for making my get-a-way fabulous!
One of the best locations in playa del Carmen. Near every thing you want from beach to party this is a very well thought out complex. Large condos great pool and 24 hour service. Very safe with security all the time. Can't go wrong
A great hotel with good vibes and a lovely staff. I stayed here for a month. It's just a walking distance to all the cafes, bars and restaurants, but still a bit away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Good rates especially for long term renters. I highlight recommend this hotel to open-minded travelers and also for those who want to stay a little bit longer in Playa del Carmen and therefore search for a place which feels a little bit like a home.
If you are looking to be pampered Isabella is not for you. But if you are looking for a quiet stay, close to the beach, clean accommodations with kind staff, you will enjoy La Isabella.
Very comfy and clean room! Reception was friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi didn't work properly and honestly wasn't really worth it. Would just go for a simple room and you'll be very happy.
I stayed at hotel Cielo in early January and was immediately hit by the authentic look of traditional Hispanic culture. We checked in and was aided by extremely helpful staff as we settled in. The view of the Caribbean Sea from our room balcony was simply breathtaking. The room, you knew was very clean and well maintained and provided probably the BEST mattress I've had at a hotel, and I travel often. The proximity to the bus station, as well as the ferry, both less than 10 minutes walking, is something you can't beat considering it is right off the famous 5th Avenue. We were all settled in and then took a walk to the rooftop. The view, the fresh Caribbean breeze, will sweep any worry away as you are taken away to relaxation. It truly is a relaxing view. The entire hotel gives you that feel of relaxation. Then, the highlight, the attached Carboncitos Restaurant. Truly amazing food! You must have a margarita a la Steve as well as the pulled pork. Also, the steak and seafood is simply amazing. Everything we ate there was mouthwatering. I can't talk enough about how friendly each and every staff member was. If you are looking for a truly unique experience, with great location, cleanliness, staff, and comfort, this is your place to be.

A very pretty hotel, 1 street away from the main touristy 5th avenue. Great swimming pool, nice personnel, a lot of green and subtle lighting in the evening. The breakfast is very simple though and the same each day, pillows are to be changed urgently. But definitely recommend to stay in Aventura Mexicana if you like peace, a bit of comfort while being close to the main tourist spots.
Fantastic hotel. Service was excellent and Yaun was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The room was very clean and spacious and the bathroom was huge. The room had a huge bathtub with jets like a jacuzzi. The location was terrific, walking distance from numerous restaurants and stores. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop pool, lounge, and bar. The hotel also has a sushi bar/ restaurant on the first floor. The style/atmosphere of the hotel combines a retro and classic style with a hipster vibe. The low lighting of the hotel gives it a very romantic and intimate feel. The hotel is 4 stories high. There is street parking but you have to pay. This is also one of the few hotels in the town that is family/kid-friendly, as many of the hotels are adults only. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. I highly recommend.
