If I could give it zero stars I would!!! It looks NOTHING like the pictures!!! Scary neighborhood, no real parking, you're lucky if you can park on the street, no ocean view, I don't even know how you can access the beach from the hotel. Barely any staff during the evening, you have to ring a bell to enter the hotel and it takes a while for someone to answer. And finally, BED BUGS!!! Do yourself a favor a STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!
Update: there is no place for me to reply to the answer the hotel posted so I'll have to add it here... I did not post pictures, therefore, you cannot see a wristband from a resort in Cancun... this review is not FALSE as you're claiming, otherwise, I wouldn't know your staff is not there at night, I wouldn't know there is no parking and the hotel is in an awful neighborhood.
Stay as far of this place as humanly possible. First is in a very bad area of town. I did not felt safe here. There is no parking as being advertise. Also, all those nice pictures: FAKE! To enter the building you have to scream because they give you no key and the guard is always missing. The pictures of the nice pond with the Budha: a frog’s nest. And worst: BED BUGS!!! I have so many bites all over. This place is horrible. Also, I was not able to check out. Had to leave the keys in the counter, since there was none available when we left.
Edit: The hotel never offered a free night, and we never asked for one. We had to go a hotel in Cancun after the nightmare of the BED BUGS! That were the picture was taken, after we got bitten at Ocean Suites. This is not the first time they have called us liars. Please DO NOT STAY HERE. There are better and cheaper options. And management: if you do not believe your costumers, then you will not last in business.
This is a clean, friendly and safe place, they have security guard all the time, in a good location you can walk every where. Near the hotel there are two tacos sellers, their tacos are amazing you can’t compare with the tacos in the USA. You can park your car on the street close the hotel, it’s safe. Hotel has a safe box, so you can leave your stuffs safely.
The sea views were spectacular from the suit and it a few minutes vfron a fantastic beach. The roof pool was nice to sunbath and to see the ocean. Clean modern rooms with fridge, microwave. Coffe machine etc.
New small restaurants opening open near by.
First off the staff was very friendly and helpful. What was surprising was the location. We had two girls staying here and didn’t feel safe there staying alone. It is not a great area of town, our cab driver is a local who was concerned when he dropped us off. There were no lights on the streets as well so we didn’t feel safe. We couldn’t lock up our belongings because the battery was dead in the safe. Also there were just sheets on the bed, not a blanket to be found. We ended up leaving halfway through the night and slept on our friends couches at another hotel. My recommendation is stay closer to the hotels and shops south of here. Wouldn’t recommend to first timers in Mexico.
—-they say it is a short walk from the main area of Playa, but it’s actually pretty far and I would definitely not walk it at night especially if you are a woman!
