I stayed at hotel Cielo in early January and was immediately hit by the authentic look of traditional Hispanic culture. We checked in and was aided by extremely helpful staff as we settled in. The view of the Caribbean Sea from our room balcony was simply breathtaking. The room, you knew was very clean and well maintained and provided probably the BEST mattress I've had at a hotel, and I travel often. The proximity to the bus station, as well as the ferry, both less than 10 minutes walking, is something you can't beat considering it is right off the famous 5th Avenue. We were all settled in and then took a walk to the rooftop. The view, the fresh Caribbean breeze, will sweep any worry away as you are taken away to relaxation. It truly is a relaxing view. The entire hotel gives you that feel of relaxation. Then, the highlight, the attached Carboncitos Restaurant. Truly amazing food! You must have a margarita a la Steve as well as the pulled pork. Also, the steak and seafood is simply amazing. Everything we ate there was mouthwatering. I can't talk enough about how friendly each and every staff member was. If you are looking for a truly unique experience, with great location, cleanliness, staff, and comfort, this is your place to be.

My Wife and I just stayed at the Hotel Cielo for two weeks on our visit to Playa Del Carmen. What makes it a 5 star experience is the host and staff that run it.Desk manager Jose, and Owner Alejandra and Steve , went above and beyond to make our stay as accommodating as possible.Were super attentive to any of our needs.
The wait staff at the restaurant are a top notch crew , all great people. We feel we have made new life long friends.
The hotel is a very Charming and authentic hacienda style hotel, combined with one of the best local restaurants in town called Carboncitios . It is perfectly located 1 block from the beach, and 5 blocks from anything else you may or may not need LOL .
Because it is in the heart of the centro district the night clubs can be noisy a bit late into the evening , but that comes with being in the heart of the action. That being said, the rooms in the back are probably less noisy at night .Would highly recommend , comfortable beds and great people :)

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very cute, and the views from the balcony are nice. Unfortunately, the location makes it nearly impossible to sleep. It is extremely noisy, and right near the main avenue with yelling, screaming, and loud music going on until 4 or 5 in the morning. Also, the television had this weird camera looking thing on it. It kind of freaked me out, and I hope my wife and I were not being filmed.
The hotel is ok. A bit noisy. Location is great and very near to Ado Bus Station. I will recommend to the hotel to work on better doors to avoid the noise from outside
