Beautiful hotel! They really thing of everything, in every room they have packaged masks& hand sanitizer! Also, cute white masks are available at the lobby upon request! The service up at the pool, PHENOMENAL! They take care of you! The only thing I didn’t like was that the hot water in my room took forever to heat up. I was in room 207, so try and avoid this room. Water took like ten min to heat up.
You truly get what you pay for. This place is cheap and it sure looks cheap. First off, the front desk is a disaster. They don’t know what they are doing and check in takes ages. Then there is the nightclub blaring the same song over and over all night long. Be a hotel or be a club, not both. Don’t fall for their free CoVid test either. That’s as unorganized as the front desk. I’ll never return.
Summary
This hotel is absolutely amazing. Staff. Service. Amenities. View. Location (center of town), and comfort. I was able to check out the main house for a few days and I loved it. Thank you to Nadia the manager and the staff at this hotel. All of them go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable.
I wouldn’t recommend the Beach House.
Wonderful place to stay in Playa Del Carmen. I redeemed 12,000 Hyatt Points as this is a cat #3 hotel on World of Hyatt program.
At check in I was greeted and explained the benefits of this hotel, which includes some benefits at the sister Beach property a few blocks away.
Tequila tasting and Yoga are at the other property.
One interesting benefit is that if you add money to your Food and Beverage allowance, the hotel will double it. Meaning if you give them $100, you will get $200 to spend. It is unclear if their is a minimum. The benefit on the flyer says “any amount” will be doubled, while the front desk, said actually you must deposit at least $50 USD..
Room is very comfortable, though does not have much in the way of views. It faces an ugly rooftop of the mall below.
The rooftop itself is pretty nice, though there are better rooftops in Playa.
I still give this 4 as it is good and nice value on points, but it would really be a 3.5 in my book. 3 is average, and this is higher than average.
We came here with a "workday pass". Worked and studied a bit but mostly enjoyed the sunbeds and pool. We are vegans but there were some vegan options on the menu. Service was outstanding. Recommended to give a try hanging out a day here.
