We loved this place. Old country style pub that has been modernised. Nice food, great specials and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is going to be our new go to for Sunday sessions
My Misses and I needed somewhere to stay last weekend whilst seeing bands at Freo Social. Instead of catching Ubers at $80 each way, we booked a room at Australia Hotel. Nathan the Hotel manager met us at the door and straight away made us feel at home. We will be back Nathan you and your staff where amazing

No air con - our 2nd floor room was stifling hot, even while cool outside. Am no princess, I live inland, and work in the heat. This was hot. I went to bed drunk, and slept ok. Wife hardly slept at all because of the heat.
Ceiling fan made little difference.
Shared Bathroom/Toilets - recently renovated by the looks. Clean and modern.
No fridge in room.
No sink/water in room.
No kettle or tea/coffee facilities in room.
No elevator.
Handy location to train/town.
Pint of 150 lashes = $12 (March 2021)
Hotel cost: $110.
No instructions on where to park when you arrive - the hotel parking gate is locked to you, until you check in and get the pass card/instructions to use. Didn't find this out until we saw the locked gate, and were scrambling with the GPS to find somewhere nearby to park. Could have been made easier - apologies is I missed an instruction?
Lovely beer garden, however we came back here about 10:30pm after an early night out, hoping for a quiet beer, only to find the pub side shut.
Nice hotel, however we probably wouldn't stay here again, mainly due to lack of air con, fridge and kettle.
Staffs are awesome and the place is so nice to stay. Budget friendly accommodation just near the train station. Always happy with the food and drinks they have! Must try fish burger. thank me later! Definitely will come back again and again.
