Reviews from visitors:
Perfect location, beautiful property, excellent service and amazing staff.
Stayed there for 5 nights on Feb 2020 (Beginning of Covid-19)
Pros: Near to Patong area - shuttle bus every hour - great view - pretty rooms - superb breakfast and a nice, cosy gym with a relaxing swimming pool.
Cons: There is nothing bad about this hotel, I just hoped the shuttle bus could be available till midnight so we could stay more to enjoy Paton night life.
Excellent Services
Upon arrival at lobby. We were lead to the lobby sitting area to be seated where we were served a cold refreshing welcome drink and a peppermint infused cold towel while a stuff did the check in for us.
Great Room.
The photos of room presented on the booking site(Agoda) is what we actually got in reality. Nice, clean & well maintained. Unlike most others where you see nice photos of the rooms & facilities but in actual fact, you kinda felt disappointed when u checked into them.
I love the big room, in-room bath tub and the nice ambience !
Amazing, cosy and friendly staff...the location is perfect. We were the first to be picked up and the first to leave the bus when we went on trips...the shuttle bus is a life saver...rooms are brilliant and breakfast is good
If you are well travelled and have had good, bad and great experiences in 5 star hotels, this one will disappoint you. Especially considering the high rating it has on Google. Very deceiving.
Pros
- quite a new hotel so the facilities are pretty good.
- the staff are very nice
- manager provided excellent customer service
- free mini bar replaced everyday although it only includes 2 beers 2 soft drinks and water
- free shuttle service to patong beach
Cons
- location is poor. Nothing is within walking distance except for a convenience store. Even if you do want to go there there are no pathways to walk on. So you'll have to walk down the side of the busy road. The main area in patong is a 5 - 10 minute drive away which. The hotel provide a free shuttle, but the peak times are either extremely packed or just not available. You have to book these in an hour in advance. Cab is around 400 baht 1 way. We got the shuttle there most the time but a cab back.
- the rooms are extremely dusty. Almost every ornament, fixing, ledge appliance was caked with dust. (Not to the point where it felt like it hadn't been cleaned in years, but it definitely hadn't been dusted for months). There were mugs sitting upside down with dust inside them. The mugs were coffee stained which I can understand but when I wiped it with a clean tissue I got a fair amount of coffee stains off the mug. The table surfaces were never cleaned with any detergent, they just seemed to be wiped away which results in stick marked surfaces, (you dont notice this by looking because the surfaces are dark with a design.
After 3 days of seeing the dust never cleaned we complained and was told they would deep clean the room. It has to be said the service was excellent. They were very understanding and they did clean everything to a very high standard after the complaint. The problem is from a 5 star hotel I expected this standard to begin with. We felt a lot more cared for after complaining and they also waved a £200 for a room upgrade which was a great gesture.
- although the staff are very nice they are not trained to a 5 star level. They seem to understand your request and then call or run back to you to re confirm. This happened a few times. The manager being an exception who was very professional.
- a lot of the rooms seem miles away. Especially from the room to the lobby. Our room 7501 was up 3 sets of stairs. We are 30 and relatively fit, and it just felt like a bit of a chore everytime.
- the breakfast selection is poor for a 5 star.
Not so goods
- food at the restaurant is hit and miss
- the hotel seems completely dead every night. No entertainment. No nothing. Lifeless. It's fine for a few nights but every night? You felt forced to go out to enjoy anything.
- when it rained, they didnt care to squeegy the floors. Considering they have so much staff doing nothing most of the day this could be somerbung to do.
- TV channels limited
If they hadn't been so good to us after we complained this would have been a 1 star.
