Arrive and it looked as our room had already been broken into. While preparing to go to the beach our daughter began to cry and say they foot hurt, upon investigating she had stepped on a tack strip from where the carpet was coming apart and exposing the tack strip. While walking to the stairs one of children almost twisted their ankle from stepping in a hole where the concrete was chipping away. Hotel sits on the beach but stay at your own risk, upkeep is not a priority here. Definitely not worth more than $50 a night. Sent pictures with an email to the general manager who stopped responding after receiving my email. Well over a month and haven't heard from him. There were some good staff members there but there were also people who seemed to dislike their job. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
Update - Regional Manager was great at resolving my issue. She also stated they were sending a maintenance crew over to work on this hotel. Don't know if it happened but the location is awesome and if they do some upgrades and bring it up to a Ramada standard this will be a good place to stay.
Let's be honest this will never be a 5 star hotel. However that being said it's right on the beach. The staff was very friendly, beds were comfortable, water worked, had a pool, hot tub, and the beach front views are beautiful. Yes I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Fair warning to anyone booking with the Ramada. We paid in full and booked the hotel in advance. We even called the night before to let them know we would be arriving at a late hour which they ensured was fine. I live 4 hours away from Panama City and when we were about an hour away they called to inform us they were completely booked and no longer had a room for us, even after they took our money and told us we had a room reserved. They sent us to another hotel which was very run down and disgusting, just to find another couple who had also had the same thing happen to them from the Ramada. If you want your room given away moments before you arrive, book with them. Would highly not recommend. Do yourself a favor and book with a more trustworthy hotel chain.
Gave it a 1 star cause i cant go any less. Do not recommend it. I had a 2 room split and everything was dirty. Rug was so dirty if you had white socks on ot will turn out black. Bathroom had hair in showers, bathroom door only open half way cause of vanity. Everything outdated. Only 1 outlet available and wasn't working properly. Building should be demolished and build a new hotel. Horrible. Do not recommend it .
I reserved a king kitchenette online. I arrived after midnight due to work, flooring installation, so I was exhausted and wanted a shower. Get to the room unpack and get ready to jump in shower and the shower doesn't work. They changed my room to a small room with 2 little double beds and no tub. Was very disappointed, especially this being a Wyndham hotel and I'm a faithful member to Wyndham. I do have to give a shout-out to Annakay at the front desk at checkout. She did refund me half of my money. She was a very polite sweet woman. The hotel is old and needs updating but Wyndham did just purchase it so I'm hoping they do some serious renovations to the place.
