Well located hotel, a few minutes from the action of downtown Doutonbori. Room was on the small size but, hey, that's Japan.
A special mention to the gentleman on the front desk who went over and above the call of duty to help me retrieve a scarf that I left in a restaurant the previous night. Despite a lack of English (we conducted our chat through Google translate), he called the restaurant twice and arranged for me to collect it that morning even though it was closed. Superb service.
Loved this hotel. After a string of small hotels this one had rooms that were surprisingly large. Breakfast was fine. Amenities were fine. Everything was fine. Beds were great. Location is just far enough from the bigger shopping streets to not deal with the crowds outside but close enough to walk too.
Well located hotel, just a few minutes walk from dotombori yet in a very quiet area. Didn't get the chance of checking in before 4pm even though the hotel was half empty, staff didn't offer the option. You need to leave your key card before 11am in order to get the room cleaned (very odd) if you don't leave the card your room won't be cleaned. There is a small Japanese buffet for breakfast. Japanese style bathroom and decent rooms for the price.
Good location and friendly staff. Twin room was a good size but was a bit dark and the carpet didn't seem as clean as other Japanese hotels that we've stayed at. The shower was terrible, it didn't stay in place so showering was quite stressful.
They have everything equipped and ready to use in your room but if you ask for something like towel, they will say yes! Not you would not get a replaced towel you want
