We stayed 8 days at this hotel and throughout the stay the service was excellent. The rooms were clean, amenities are superb, and the location was fantastic (nr to all the interesting places, and transport hub). We had the breakfast package everyday and I like to mention a young gentlemen among the breakfast crew who served us; his name is Komang who was conversant in English, and who was very helpful throughout our stay. Keep up the great service!
Amenities and services are up to standard. Location is great as everything is walking from here. Problem is, they don't thoroughly clean the rooms. We saw used chopsticks and wrappers underneath our bed. Their air-conditioning is centralized so you can't adjust to suit your preference. Front desk just said to open the windows if we felt hot. If you do this, you'd be hearing cars and people the whole night.
Customer service has room for improvement. Facility is modern and Western-style.
We arrived at noon and asked if it would be possible to check in early. Male receptionist (Wed Sept 11th ~12pm) was unapologetic and dismissive that no rooms were available, but did not bother to check. When asked if he was sure, I was ignored. When asked to hold our bags for us until check-in, he was rude to answer, and knowing that we did not speak the same language, made a joke to his colleague in Japanese and laughed in front of us. We called front desk for extra pillows and were told to come down and pick them up ourselves. Rarely greeted upon return to hotel. Overall, staff seemed curt, dodgy, and falls quite short from the high standard of Japanese hospitality.
Otherwise, great location, close to Kuromon market and many restaurants. Rooms and facilities were clean. We appreciated the larger room upgrade but would much rather have taken excellent customer service instead.
Nice place! Free coffee and tea and extra lotions, shampoos and conditioners. Rooms are a bit tight but not unlike others in Japan. Great location, luggage storage is great! They offer a free phone for use in room.
Very nice hotel with very nice staff. Great location. 1 minute walk to Namba Market and about 10 min walk to Dotonbori. Breakfast buffet was delicious and traditional with lots of options. Rooms were small but efficient. Free coffee in the lobby is an excellent feature.
