It’s such a great place to stay, specially the manager Tomo, he is super friendly and kind, the atmosphere in this hostel is unique, I’ll definitely recommend this place for staying.
If you stay at this hostel , you can find a something unique inside the hostel easily . There are a lot of unique drawings on walls.You may see a strange cat too. The staff of the hostel is very kind .When I asked them something I was worried ,they helped me kindly. Im looking forward to staying at the hostel next time.
Several grand in cash was stolen from a locked private room. Don't stay here. Police subpoena'd this guy's communication records and interviewed other business owners and found that the guy who works here shared personal information about me which it is absolutely illegal to share with other business owners.
According to authorities this business is likely selling guests' 'lost' passports, or selling scans of guests' identification. If anything valuable goes missing, **go straight to the police.** Do not alert the staff to the fact that you have noticed something has been taken. Do not keep objects of value or identification in safes while you are not in the room. Keep valuables on your person at all times.
Important edit: I stayed here for 3 months, as the owner points out. I had a lot more energy as soon as I left. It turns out I was inhaling some toxic fumes from glue in the private room. Medical tests show I was inhaling toluene and xylene. I got **glue/paint poisoning** staying in the twin room. Symptoms started after four or five weeks. I was sleeping 18-20 hours a day and was still tired...
Wood shavings clogged my computer, private room audible to the bathroom, no cleanings, dirty kitchen, rude staff. Don't stay here. Reacted to the bad review by refusing to change the sheets. Way more central places are cheaper and offer better facilities. There are rats in the kitchen according to one employee, I found droppings on October 20th. Police were most helpful in helping me leave immediately and procure my belongings. The owner was being incredibly rude within earshot of my door with an employee in Japanese because he had seen I'd made an instagram post about attending a support group for people separated from their spouses by coronavirus, which I recorded.
Very homey styled hostel with lots of character and love everywhere you look. Very clean and tidy, always have someone to talk to with the other guest and staff from all over the world, both Japanese and Foreign backpackers.
Easy access to the metro and supermarkets for all your travel needs, the perfect place for day trips to Nara, Kobe and exploring the large city of Osaka.
Can't recommend enough, if your going to Osaka, Air Osaka is the place to stay!
