Rooms were super cute and extremely clean. All the common areas were extremely clean and well maintained and staffed. All staff was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again. Transportation to the parks was super easy. Next time I will book for more days so that we can do more things at the hotel also. We didn't have time to hang out by the lazy river and pool or eat dinner and bowl at the hotel because we spent so much time in the parks and only stayed 1 night
Would stay here again. The hotel had a fun theme that although had a 50s vibe (which I loved) was modern, clean and nice. I loved the bright colors throughout. The food wasn't amazing but it was good. My kids enjoyed the swimming pools and the sandy beach at each pool. I did expect a bit more activities at the pool but it was good. Lazy river and slide. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and responded quickly to my inquiries. Shuttle buses came frequently and we never had to wait for one.
From booking to check in to check out and every interaction in between the customer service was amazing. The resort was clean, beautiful and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to park our car and use the transportation to City Walk. The wait time for the bus was reasonable in both directions. We spent one entire day at the pool which was beautiful and fun. A few people in our party ordered food from the poolside cafe and thought it was delicious, especially the fish tacos. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on price, value, customer service and experience.
I have to give Cabana Bay a 5 star rating. The reception staff was wonderful and helpful! The room was clean and the resort itself was full of great amenities. The only issue that I had was the food prep staff did not seem too happy like at Disney World but the food was still good with a good variety. We will definitely be staying at this resort again in the future! I recommend staying here if you need to stay at a Universal Resort and you are on a budget!
This was the best place to stay for our Universal vacation. We enjoyed every minute we were here.
We loved the fact that Starbucks was right in the hotel. Made it so easy for our breakfast oatmeal each morning.
The Garden Path to Universal itself was a real plus for us. Being able to take the nice walk to and from the park was such a wonder way to go.
The food options there are fantastic. We were not able to use all these but, what we did use were great and very easy to get and many options to choose from.
The Universal store on sight was a big bonus. We had to use this many times for medical needs and they came through every time. The did have great clothes too.
The staff was super helpful. Could call day or night and they were always ready to help. Make sure that you do keep an eye on a text. They did send us one and we were not aware of them coming to clean our room.
When we go back next year we are definitely going to stay here again. Our 6 year old son loved the retro look and the blue was a favorite of his.
